Detailed a S Class engine, sprayed it with a mixture of 1 & 1/2 quart of Simple Green and 2 & 1/2 quarts water. Hose it down with pressure washer and dress with 1 part Auto Magic's Super Dress It and 1 part water. Took 5 minutes tops, $40.00 :bigups

Nice job on the engine. Is that a Superwinch accessory I see at the bottom of the 2nd pic? Does he off-road the thing? :rofl

I wouldnt put it past him. We had a fella here take his NBS mustang off-roadin. :shift

looks great, but I'll bet you it took longer than 5 min. there's no way in hell you could cover your electrics, spray down the engine, let it do it's stuff, wash it down, dry it off, and dress and polish in under 5 minutes without being the Flash! I'll tell you, you have great looking cars, but what you show and what you say don't jive!

just my opinion.

Looks much nicer for sure but it does look like a 5 minute job also. He never mentions he covered any electronics. The dirt is mainly accumulated dust so the pressure washer blew that right off I am sure. That alone would of been a huge improvement. Again it looks much nicer but you can see dirt still in some areas and some splotchy dressing areas so I believe from the looks of it that 5 minutes is about right.

You just have to be efficient with your time and know what products to use. Just like these pictures, About 45 minutes to clean interior and seats, 1 hour total time to wash and interior.

nice looking motro job but why do 99% of your posts have to contain these giant pictures? you think you can size them down a bit? maybe not post them in alomst all of your replies. you know you don't need a picture everytime you explain or brag about something.

i dont like where these threads are going lately... maybe a PM would have been nicer guys.

i have never hosed an engine before in my life. im sure if i ever did tho it would be longer than 5 minutes. 40 bucks for a 5 minute job seems like robbery to me. i would've charged 10 bucks max for that. for now my engine jobs take about 30 minutes using damp APC rags. until i know exactly how to cover an engine the hose let alone a PW will stay away.

i have noticed that his method is the one on automagics website.

lets eat paste!

what are you talking about lol i see nothing wrong with any of them?

i guess i feel that constructive critism has been passed. i dont see the need to say something rude unless something was said first. giving him a bad reply will just lead one to fight back and on goes the flame war!

I didn't see my reply as bad or an atack in any way and I know perhaps my reply was not the one you question. My reply was an honest one, while it does look better it also looks like a 5 minute job. CleanDean just posted up a SL engine he detailed and that was superb but it took alot longer than 5 minutes I am sure, hence the difference in appearance. I am not knocking Martins work at all.

Sorry if my pictures are too big. I noticed when I first got the website up, I let the client know and 90% of the reaction I got was, "Lets take a look at it". They would type in address on these huge 21 inch plus monitors with cable connection and noticed them squintting at these huge screens to look at pictures and I instantly knew that they had to be large. So after about 2 months of retaking pictures and adding new vehicles, I updated website and when the pictures filled up the huge monitor, "WOW" is all I kept hearing.

I'm more than efficient with my time and have great product & process knowledge, but your time from start to finish seems almost impossible for ONE person.....You are telling us that you cleaned the inside and washed the outside in an hour? You on Speed?

I spend about 4 plus hours on all my cars that's a full detail, in & out, trunk, motor....I've been at this for a while and yet in anyway that I can do it much faster and (this is key) delivery back a quality product that the customer is happy with every time.

Your jobs look like they are done alright but I'm guessing that you are going for more volume than anything.........Just my .02
