wow....that is a beautiful car and a great job on the detail.

I have a Black TT to do and I think I will be trying some of the products you listed on that car.

What is the Power Gloss product you used with the RMG? How long did it take you?

Again....fantastic work!!

Once again, thanks for all the kind compliments :p

Gen2,

So, no use of a rotary buffer was involved? Do you use Propel pads and what size? How do you go about cleaning the insides of wheels? What brand of clay do you use? How long did it take you to complete this detail and roughly how much do you charge for that type of service? Was the interior done as well?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, but it is plainly obvious to me that you really know what you are doing, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks.

No rotary was used on this car and I used the 4" propel pads with the cyclo and the 6.75" propel P2 pads with the DA. For the inside of the wheels, I used a long wheel brush from Turtle Wax and the clay is from JW. This detail took me 6 hours plus with interior done and I charged around US$160 for it.

Does PG dust for you? How do you remove MB clear with a pc at those slow speeds? (4.5)?

By mixing PG with RMG (70/30) it cut down the dusting by quite alot and the finishing is also much better too. I actually did a few passes with the cyclo (not PC) to tackle those more serious area.

Looks to me those swirls were left behind by the last 'detailer' that touch this car.

do you do the mixture with RMG in seperate container or on the pad?

I actually mixed the PG/IP with RMG in a seperate bottle.

Power Gloss is a compound from Menzerna and RMG is a glaze from Clearkote. As mentioned, this detail took me 6 plus hours.

That looks absolutely amazing! I love everything about that car. Fantastic job! Seeing those pictures makes me want to take a trip overseas....

Thanks for the reply gen2, man I really hope that I can produce results as good as yours some day...

You are most welcome ;) , I learned most of my detailing knowledge here in Autopia and if you learn from the experts here, you can produce excellent result in no time.

Usually I will check the paint condition with the Halogen light first, decide on which combo to use than work with the halogen light off. After each pass I will check again with the halogen light again to check on the progress.
