So that I a don't have to wait a week or so ordering from the states is there anywhere a little more local where we can buy Menzerna products? I am talking about the whole range IP FPII FMJ etc etc. ? Local could mean Europe too, anyone know of any sites ? Thanks.

Well, thanks for the link, but when I tried the shopping cart it informed me that 'No shipping available to the selected country'.

I have tried there as well lowe, no joy I get nothing from that menzerna site, no way to purchase anything, and nowhere do I find links to other suppliers, the distributors page just comes up blank.

I did email menzerna directly. and they gave me a contact in the UK to email. I emailed him, and he never replied, so there must be a supplier in the uk, just that he doesn't do email! I will pop his addie here, but being careful not to alert it to spam bots ... it is hisnameATlawtons.info, they don't have a webbie either, but do have a domain. <-frustrating

I had forgotten about Mr L. Dont waste your time, he is not interested selling you any Menzerna products. I took his name off the front page some time ago.

Sorry I should have added that the way to see the distributors is to stay in the German site not the English. Click 'Home' and then 'Vertriebspartner' and Bob is your uncle

Sorry Lowe, but although yes you can view lots of european sites by selecting the German web page, it is still impossible to buy anything from any of them that I tried, and I tried nearly all. I guess I will buy from the states somewhere.

Axe, I'd second what Lowe says - Lawton's aren't really interested in us lot.

I couldn't get jiggy with IP/FP and found it really hard going when I first tried it BUT I had the same opinion on the SSR's and #7 and I've recently had some success with both so I figure I'm still on that learning curve!

Autopia'll have them to you inside a week, surely? You must be ultra keen!

heh heh Andy, don't know about super keen but I have exhausted all of my FP II and need to replenish, I would also like to try the FMJ product. I find the menzerna stuff to be excellent and am becoming something of a fan i have to say :) Oh and autopia don't sell the menzerna line :(

Any tips Paul? I found IP especially to be a sod to remove - ended up using a 50/50 meths/water mix and got godawful marring as a result, even with light swiping action with 2 or 3 separate MF's.

I really wanted to like Menzerna - maybe I'll try it again on the scrap panels I'm picking up at the weekend (rotary practice after my disastrous 1st attempt on my 205...)

Hi Andy,

I don't pretend to be a Menzerna expert, far from it. However, I have found that spritzing the pad with a little water helps with working the product; I believe this actually increases the aggressiveness slightly but not sure about that. Regardless though, I have found that helps - especially when your pad is used for the first time, when itâ€â„¢s at its driest.

I found that if I work the product in small 2x2 areas and work it until it becomes transparent (like Vaseline) and then wipe off with a MF its good. I have found (and I made a thread about this) the best way to remove IP in particular is with a terry cloth towel. I thought everybody would frown at me for doing this, but apparently not. What I found is that the towel gives more bite and pulls the IP from the car much better than a MF - I would probably always go with something much finer after IP (usually FP II when I had some left) and with this I would wipe off with a MF as usual.

I think persevering with Menzerna is worth it, because there are absolutely no fillers in them, so you can be sure that when you look at your vehicle and it is swirl free, you can be sure it is swirl free and not swirl disguised! :)

Anyway those are the things that helped me come to grips with Menzerna, I hope they help you. However if you want the ultimate in menzerna tips, then you should view Mosca's thread on its use, I will have a look for it later for you if you have not yet read it.
