Menzerna Power Gloss

I tried the IP/FP combo a couple of times on some waterspots and scratches and it didn't totally get rid of them.

I was wondering if I use Menzerna Power Gloss with a yellow pad (PC) what kind of hazing will it leave?

Would I be able to go directly to Menzerna FP?

Thanks

You might need to step up to a rotary for the PG (Anthony O did the Benz from hell a few weeks ago and posted results) I have used PG once with a LC cutting pad with my rotary on some soft CC and really marred the surface (stupid me - I didn't do a test spot first - I just assumed the CC on the after market hard tonneau was the same as the CC on the rest of the truck). The abuse I introduced came out easily with 1Z PP and my PC.

Having said that, I'm not sure if PC has enough OOMPH to work the product properly.

TEST A SPOT FIRST.

I need to revisit PG & the rotary on my wife's beater.....

No rotary :(

What about 1Z Ultra Paint Polish? Do you know how it works with a PC and what kind of haze it leaves? Can I go from UPP to Menzerna FP?

Thanks :up

I just went over my whole care with the PC, orange pad, and PG. It took care of all the deeper swirls IP couldn't get to, and didn't leave much haze at all. It's BMW paint, so maybe a little harder than what you may have, but it should be fine. As always, try a test spot first, and be careful. I set the PC on about 3.5-4 to start out, and finished at about 5. If you put the right amount on a slightly misted pad, it's one of the most user friendly polished out there.

ZaneO,

Gonzo's info was pretty much right on, with at least what I have discovered about PG and I use it alot now BUT I have yet to use it with my PC.

I have used it with my Cyclo on a silver paint and some greem medium cut pads and it worked out great and any marring left behind worked out well with a combo of IP/FP.

The action with a rotary is much better and twice as fast than the Cyclo.

Hope that helps,

Anthony

Hummm...I can't decide if I need IP w/ yellow pad, PG w/ yellow or orange pad, or 1Z UPP w/ yellow or orange pad.

HELP  lol

Forget the yellow pad and just try the PG with a white pad first and go from there. If it needs more then I personally would try the orange pad then back to the white pad.

If you buy the 1Z UP, PP & MP you will fall in love with them! The UP is slightly more aggressive than DACP but tends to break down quicker. I always follow UP with PP and sometimes MP. Finally I use Menzerna FP as a last step polish to burnish the paint and draw out any residual oils/fillers from previous polishes. This allows me to check for missed imperfections with a 500 or 1000 watt lamp before applying any finishes.

ive tried the ip and it removed light marring and water spots if i can get to it this weekend ill post pics, but i used a c and a edge green pad
