Menzerna PO85RD - Discontinued or not, that is the question.

I wanna know too.. :)

maybe someone start a groupbuy from those site?

Just make sure if you are doing a group buy to figure on people who say they are interested in the product but fail to deliver. also make sure to read the label on the PO85RD it states there * is * a shelf life. not too many people discuss this fact but I feel it is put on the label for a reason. why would Menzerna put it on their label if it is not true ?

I think the bottles are marked for about 2-3 years BUT I spoke to a wonderful gentleman at Menzerna USA regarding this and he told me that they saw no degradation of the product after more than 5 years. I have some polishes that are much more than 5 years old that still perform as they did when new.

FWIW, the bottle states...

"Shelf life: 12 months at storage temperatures between 55 and 80 degrees F. Do not expose to frost!"

Each bottle should have a sticker on the bottom that has a batch number and a production date.

My bottle was 4.5 months old when I received it in September, so I can't speak to the longevity concerns yet. I store my supply indoors at a controlled temperature, so I guess only time will tell how it will hold up.

I'm not worried about that at all. I still have the original Final Polish in the basement and it works 'as good as new' (but I reserve it for black).

Like somebody else said the bottle is labeled for 12 months. glad to see that you have had a different experience :2thumbs: . I was planning on dumping some if the shelf life thing turned out to be true. wonder why they would print that on the bottle, is there any legal basis for it ? just kind of odd if you ask me why the 85RD has this on the bottle. oh well guess I can just let it be, maybe I should not believe everything I read :hm

Hi

On the lables of the Australian and European Bottles it has a picture of shelf life for 24 months. I think after that the the lubrication in the product may dissovle(?) dry up a little and cause more hazing. I am trying to post some pictures to support my claims.

for those looking for PO106FF you can PM me. I wasn't aware of the "shortage" from other resellers.

Seems like you and I are the only people who have a large supply of the PO106FF at this time . guess it can be said you are the west coast connection and I am the east. :LOLOL

Now if anyone had surplus of 85RD!

Emails sent, now just a waiting game for case lots.

Deanski

I did at one time but it went damm quick. have to admit I am suprised the PO106FF has not gained any attention in comparison. I know it has more cut but on a finishing pad it has very little bite and still leaves a wonderful finish :think2 wish I would have known that the 85RD was going to be the hot item I would have ordered a bunch instead of being stuck with a ton of the 106FF. guess I am going to have to do a ****load of polishing to use it up and get my money back. seems like you can not give it away at this time :sosad
