Menzerna PO106FF vs. conventional clearcoat?

For all you interested Canucks out there, I just received 32 oz. of Blackfire Finishing Polish (PO106FF) from CarCareSmart in Vancouver. $31.75 :D

I would like to try the Menzerna PO106FF but can't seem to find the smaller size (16oz) bottle of it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find the smaller size bottle or do I just need to get the Blackfire version? Mike...

I'm considering buying some Menzerna products from the UK. I'll probably get a bottle of PO106FF and a bottle of PO85RD. If you're interested in splitting an order let me know. Offer is open to anyone else who's interested.

Hmm I would buy RD3.02 and PO106FF instead of the RD.

With RD3.02 and PO106FF you can do 95% of the details.

Same here. I've checked all the places that carry Menzerna and had no luck.

I checked all the sites also...the only stuff around is RD3.0 and RD 3.01..was told it was back ordered and Menzerna does not know when it will become available again...

But on a side note..I was told that the 3.01 will do what I want to do...I think it was the cut on 3.01 was 3.. and 3.02 was 3.5 with a gloss of 4...

I just got 32oz. of PO85RE5 and 16oz. each of 106FF and 85RD from Daragh @ smartcarcare.ie thanks to porta. The price per 32oz. (30$USD) of product are better then in the states as 106FF is about 50$ USD.. If you buy enough to justify the s&h it isn't bad at all.

I realized I didn't really need the 85RD3.02 after speaking with porta and Daragh who both have extensive experience with the Menzerna line. :thx

The price per oz. is different per product but you get the idea. :waxing: Tell em porta and or Justin sent you!

Nice deal. What's killer is Polished Bliss has 085RD3.02, 106FF, and 085RD for 48 Euros shipped only within the UK it seems. That comes out to $100 US. Sigh... Guess I can survive with just 106FF over here.

Group purchase or Euro link anyone? Heh.

as an update my order from Daragh @ smartcarcare.ie just got here. I couldn't believe how quick the shipping was! I gotta say if anyone is looking for Menzerna, Daragh @ smartcarcare.ie is a the source with great customer service and quick international shipping. :2thumbs:

Mind giving us an idea for what the prices were with shipping? Hehe.

I paid $27.74 for shipping to South Florida and it got here quick. Factor that in with the saving in comparison to what 106FF goes for in the states and you make out pretty good. :usa

Thanks for the Info, Deansky & 2JZFan! Anyone for a group buy (085RD/3.02/106FF)? Heh. Not bad pricing considering the prices we have over here.

085RD3.02 I hear is hard to get now.

I have about three 1 litre bottle left of P085RD which are going to Sean.

Not bad on prices between both sites. Sure do wish it was easier to get case lots as I did in the past for all the 1-litre bottles I have ordered in the past.

Although I have yet to use Optimum Polish, I keep hearing very high-end results with it from other users who have not been able to obtain 85RD anymore. This polish can be a good alternative.

Then, there is also the new 3M "Ultrafina" polish, which is also good but 3M stresses that it should be used along with their pad designed for this polish (blue waffel type) for a rotary. You can view the webinar on the 3M product in use here: Paint Finishing, Clean-up & Delivery 3M US finish finishes finishs car cars auto autos automobile automobiles automotive paint paints painting acid rain rains spot spots spotted spotting pit pits pitting pitted etch etches etched etchs ech dust nib n

I'll see in time if I really need more 85RD.... But doesn't everybody want more??:chuckle:

Regards,

Deanski

Menzerna > Optimum > 3M.

3M is expensive, pad dependent, and not Detailer friendly. Mainly a 3M Bodyshop environment. IMO
