Menzerna IP or SIP how often

How often can I use Menzerna IP or SIP? I used IP on my truck and I removed all the swirls, but can I use it again in a few months? I won't need to repair the paint as much next time. I am concerned that the IP or SIP will remove a little bit of the clear coat each time I apply it, is this true?

Thanks for any help...

yes, u do remove clear coat every time you polish. make sure you practice the right washing techniques and use a sealant every 3-4 months with waxing every 2-3 weeks, or less.

if you do all those correctly your swirls shouldn't come back for a long time and u wont need to use menzerna

Yeah, if you need to do correction every few months I'd put the effort into figuring out how/why the paint is getting marred up so much and try to sort that out. Every time you use abrasives you take off a little more clear and eventually you can't do it any more (or, more likely, you'll precipitate clearcoat failure because you didn't stop soon enough).

I end up sounding like I argue this both ways: yeah, you can do moderate correction many times but no, you can't do it indefinitely. It's a matter of not *over*-doing it. IMO if you're polishing more than once (maybe twice) a year you're headed for trouble and I don't do serious correction even that often.

Nobody can predict how often you can use a given product on a given car because there are just too many variables.

Thanks for the quick answers, that's what I thought. This is my first polish and it looks like the previous owner ran it thru the wash a lot. Now that the swirls are gone I will maintain it better.
