Can I use the Menzerna intensive polish with my LC orange cutting pad or will that not be of any use? Also is the white pad that is included with the porter cabel d/a polisher,is that a polishing pad I was wondering if I could use Menzerna final polish II with the white pad.

Here is the procedure that I use hopefully this is correct

Wash :Meg's Gold Class
Clay :Wurth Claybar
Polish:Menzerna Intesive Polish followed by Final Polish II
Wax:Klasse AIO
Seal:Klasse SG I wait about an hour before taking it off then I wait about a week then wash then apply the S100 carnuba wax
Tire Dressing: Poorboy's BnB

It all depends on how your finish is. That cutting pad and IP (intensive polish) is agressive and should only be used on swirled vehicles. That being said, I have used IP and a cutting pad and it worked well. I would suggest that you buy other pads to use with your PC. The one that came with it is junk and will start falling apart if you use it. Do a search on the IP because it can be a tricky product if used incorrectly (I gave up using it). The rest of your process looks good. If you don't think you need a cutting pad, then don't use it. Get more pads and try the least abrasive polish and pad combo first to see what works for you. Good luck.

the downfall is that the Menzerna polishes are the only polishes I have I will use what I got and 99percent of the cars that I do (Excursion,Duallys,Yukon's,Denali's,Tahoe's,Suburban's,Yukon XL's,sedan's are privalages!!!!) the orange cutting pad defintaly would do some good I did about a month of reasearch with the Menzerna IP it does not seem to be too tricky for me being that I'm not a complete infantile to detailing.......

One cannot go wrong with this advise that Budman gave you!!

I have read on this forum or others, I forget now, that the pad that comes with the PC could be used on chrome, stainless steele and windows. I am not promoting its use. It was suggested as an alternative use for the other wise low grade pad. No one has ever suggested to use it on painted surfaces of vehicles.

Cwcad I remeber another thread where the polishing pad that comes with the PC was used to poilish a chrome toolbox, does this sound familiar.

Budman only offered an opinion on the IP . He offered some goob advice as he has used multiple products with good result. To me it sounds as if The IP may have a learning curve and with other products that are easier to work with he chose not to use the IP.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of peope like Menzerna but the IP is rough. It applies fine with the PC but is a PITA to remove. CMA recommends using a 50/50 mix of water and alcohol to remove the residue. I don't use it anymore b/c there are other produts that work better for me.

Now thats over with, if you are going to be detailing that many vehicles you are still going to need more pads. I used the original on scrap things (as posted above) and the foam ripped off the backing plate.

If you're happy with it then so be it, just not sure what the purpose of the thread is then...
