Menzerna glaze question...

I just ordered some because I heard it has good filling qualities and awesome shine. I have very little swirling so I just wanted to try this in between polishes. My question is for anyone that has used this, how do you think it would be topped with P21s?

Well hope you dont mind if I jump in with another question, but does anyone know if you can put down menzerna glaze over a few coats of Opti-Seal? Can opti-seal be put over the menzerna glaze?

I like the menz glaze when applied by hand.. It was a real bear to remove when I applied with the PC for some reason (possibly user error).. When applied by hand (thin, light pressure, rub in until it starts to dry, buff with MF), it came off much easier, filled better and looked better..

I think it will look fine topped with p21s.. But there are probably better glazes out there if you're topping with a carnuaba.. The reason I really like the menz glaze is that it seems to be compatible with sealants over top of it (no streaking)... I keep hearing the clearkote RMG is an amazing glaze, and will probably try it soon..

danny318... I have not used opti-seal, but I have used numerous sealants over the menz glaze with no problems and no streaking..

RMG and DWG are both great glazes, but with very little filling. Every one keeps saying that Menz fills better so I bought some, hopefully gonna try it out this weekend.

Thanks for the response.

I have used Menz glaze and really like the look and filling abilities. However, it does have oils in it (see autogeek product description) and so it will make it tough for a synthetic sealant to bond to it. Stick w/ 'nuba toppers and you'll be doing fine.

So you know, I have used Optiseal over Menz glaze and I thought the look was really really nice but I this was before I had learned about the inability of sythetics to bond well to the glaze. Thus, durability is probably limited if you choose the optiseal route but if you like its look more than nuba then go for it. I apply products so frequently I never got to find out if my optiseal over menz combo was short lived...

If opti seal doesnt work well over MFG, would puting down opti seal first, and then glazing over it help durability? The glaze might ware off first but the opti-seal will still be protecting underneath?
