Menzerna FPII vs. P106Ff

What is the difference between Menzerna FP II and P106Ff? Is P106FF can only be use on certain cars. Is P106FF a finshining polish or goes after FP II? I already have Optimum Polish and thinking of using as combo with either P106FF or FP II.



Also, some folks have mentioned that the P106FF is the same as Blackfire Scratch Resistant Clear Finishing Polish. Any experience?

Both excellent finishing polishes. You can use 106FF on any paint you want. 106FF will cut a bit more, but finish out better than FPII. BF SRC finishing polish is 106FF, but in a smaller size.
 
BF SRC finishing polish is Menzerna PO106FF but with added lubrication.



FPII have a cut of 3 on the Menzerna scale and a gloss of 4. PO016FF got a cut of 2,5 and gloss 5. But I find PO106FF have more cut beacuse of different abbrasives.



But when used with a finishing pad you have very little cut.



PO106FF is IMO much better then FPII(PO85U) longer working time, higher gloss and much more versatile.



I uses Menzernas SCR polishes on all clears even solid paints, with very good results.
 
Can I use the combo of Optimum Polish and PO106FF? First, use OP on Eddge2000 Orange pad, and then PO106FF on Blue pad. I plan to use this combo on my 9 months old Lexus 2006 GS. So, I am a bit cautious to any new combo or new products. I have only use Optimum Polish once on this new car, but ready to take on another level as a newbie.
 
I would see if you can accomplish what you want using the 106ff and the orange pad. That way, you would eliminate a step. I found 106ff to have more cutting power and still maintains a great shine. There are many more cutting particles in the 106 than the FP. See if the 106ff will do the job alone.
 
There is no need for the OP if you have PO106FF. 106FF is very versatile, use it with a wool or cutting pad, you can compound with it and finish with a soft foam pad.



PO106FF with a orange pad is a great one step punch. Decent cut and great gloss.
 
I thought that PO106FF or FPII is a finishing polish, the last step in polishing. Is Optimum Polish a "Finishing Polish".
 
You can finish with OP, but I prefere PO106FF over OP, everyday.



PO106FF is a finishing polish but you can use it for paint corrections if used with a light cutting pad or similar, and it will finishes out very well.
 
I have all 3 and I use fp on silver and light cars so I can save my 106ff for the cars that need it. 106ff has these very sharp and accute fine milled abrasives that start out gritty and break down into into a clay like polish that will take it to the next gloss level where fp left off. As for OP, it's an unfair contest. 106ff will leave every finish polish in it's dust!



On a well prepped surface after compounding, 106ff will take it to a gloss level that no polish has reached yet. On soft finishes it will work as a one step revive and shine.
 
I would go with PO106FF if you have the swirl resistant clearcoat and strongly consider it with a dark color.

ONLY in the idea that they're made by the same company and are finishing polishes. 85RD leaves a finish that you sometime wont want to put any wax/sealant over. FPII is just a half a step less shiny.

Reading this thread reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask regarding Menzerna products. Where can I get the professional formula bottles of Menzerna (the skinny cylindrical ones as opposed to the squarish white ones)?



And, what about the Blackfire SRC? I previously purchased this from Autogeek, but would ideally want to buy it from the same place as the rest of the Menzerna products?

I don't think you bought it from Autogeek because they don't carry Blackfire or Menzerna. Anyway, there are several places you can buy Menzerna one of which is Proper Auto Care. However, 106FF is really the only professional Menzerna polish you can buy in the USA anymore. All the other ones have to be bought from a European source.

depends on your goals and wallet, you can get blackfire SRC for 26 which is basically 106ff or you can buy PO85 for about 60.00 106 has a bit more cut than 85 tho.

Or Australian. Anyone can PM me if they want RD. The distributor in victoria has everything bar 106FF
