Menzerna Cut Force Pro

I'm not sure when this product came out, but it seems to be the be-all, end-all, one-stop solution for polishing, with Menz rating it at Cut of 9, Gloss of 9. I'm not even sure where you can buy it, but they seem to have it at Amazon, sold by Menzerna USA.

We've seen these products before that are supposed to be the only compound/polish product you will ever need, for every application...which never works. But the only product in the Menz lineup that has a cut higher than 9, is Super Heavy Cut Compound 300 (Cut of 10), and the only products which have a gloss higher are SF3500 and SF3800 (Gloss of 10).

It does seem to be more expensive at $20 for 8oz or $60 for a quart, but that's with free shipping at Amazon.

Anyone heard of/used this product?

Have not used this product you mentioned, but have used much Menzerna Nbr Series --
Menzerna 3000 = Cut = 3 Gloss = 9
Menzerna 3500 = Cut =3 Gloss = 10
Menzerna 3800 = Cut = 2 Gloss = 10

I still have quart bottles of Menzerna Power Gloss 1000 which claimed a cut 8/gloss 5; and Final Finish 3000 which claimed a cut4/gloss 9.
It's more than I will use in my remaining lifetime so I'd be happy to share several ounces of either for the cost of the shipping. PM me if interested.

Appreciate the offer, but I just threw out my CMA-era jug of Power Gloss. I think I will also toss my Intensive Polish from the same era, but hang onto my FPII (which I think is similar to FF3000). All of those 3 I've had since around 2005 and I just think there are many more modern polishes from Menzerna and others (some of which I have) that makes hanging on to these old ones silly, for me, anyway.

Fortunately some of these Menzerna polishes are available in smaller bottles now, I have a quart of SF4500, that as you say, is probably more than I will use in my lifetime (since it is one of many polishes I have).

Try it. Wait i forgot, you don't use your polishers. Just ridicule others.

Yes, I used it last week before a ceramic coating job

It is on their website:
I do kinda "question" how it can achieve BOTH a cut rating of "9" (meaning a lot) AND a gloss rating of "9" simultaneously without using different types of pads, especially foam pads like yellow for correcting and then white for finishing, but using this same abrasive.
Even in the chart on the website, it shows three steps of achieving gloss perfection, which I assume is using three "different" abrasives from the Menzerna line, before applying a protective last-step-product (LSP). Just curious....

To me this is Menzerna's product answer to Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution's Pro 1-&-Done Compound one-step abrasive.
This one-step abrasive is becoming a game-changer for auto-body repair and detailing shops, not to mention the detailing hobbyist, like many of us Autopians!

Yes, the website is a little confusing. It does say optimised for wool and foam pads. Whereas the bottle label only recommends a foam heavy cutting pad.

And it does suggest multiple steps, whereas the bottle label only mentions a single step.

So, how did it perform?

I was working on a 10 year old Subaru with badly swirled metallic white paint. The paint has a medium hardness, so, relatively easy to correct.

I used a Makita BO6050 forced rotation polisher.

I tried both wool and foam cutting pads, side by side, to compare both the cut and finish.

On this paint I felt the wool pad offered a slightly better cut and slightly better finish, compared to the foam pad.

Keeping in mind that neither pads were Menzerna pads. I've read that Menzerna pads are optimised for their own polishes, as you'd expect. So I wasn't using the ideal pads for this specialised compound.

Nevertheless, it worked very well. On this paint, It left a 7/10 finish. If it was a hard paint I reckon it would've left a much better finish, supporting the 9/10 claim.

As it was, I did a pass with a finishing polish to get it to 9/10.

I was impressed with it and would recommend it. It has a very long work time with an extended cut time, and dusts very little.

Having said all that, it didn't beat my favourite cut/finish compound, which is TW One and Done. That still reigns as king IME.

Alfisti:
Thanks for the honest evaluation of Menzerna's new Cut Force Pro abrasive and your comparison to TW's-HS 1-&-Done.

What model Subaru was it and how many miles are on it? I had a 2003 Outback with the Pearl White Metallic paint and tan cladding. Very nice car that I had for 19 years and 180,000 miles. Needed some work (cylinder head gaskets, AGAIN) and rear wheel bearing, but overall, a great car, seeing I owned it for so many years. Sold it to my sister who fixed "some" of the issues and they drove it for another 50,000 miles. One "feature" it has was a National Weather Service weather band on the car radio that I used A LOT just to get weather forecasts and weather warnings when travelling longer commuting distances for work in mechanical design as a contractor-rent-a-pencil (computer graphics & drawing operator).

I think it was a Liberty, but I don't know how many kms (miles 😉) they've done. And yes, it's the pearl white metallic. Came up beautifully. I'll see if I can post up a couple of pics.
