Are menz products hard to worked by DA polisher or it is just my idea??I tried them today and i noticed that they needed to worked to much and the pad became hot enough to have breaks all time long.Did i made something wrong??I tried them (106FA &RD3-02) on SFX-2 Pad and Lake polishing green pad.

In my experience, yes, Menzerna polishes do take a while to break down with an orbital (this is true of a number of "diminishing abrasive" polishes, not confined to just Menzerna). I've managed to damage a pad or three working the UDM at high speed for long times. My solution: Multiple pads, and at least one extra backing plate. The fast change of direction of the UDM orbit generates a good amount of heat in the hook-and-loop fabric. The backing plate will act as a heat sink and soak up some of that heat for a while, but once it gets hot enough, the pad backing and foam start taking damage from the heat (and some polishes start to act strange when the pad warms up).

To prevent heat-related problems, I switch pads after every few panels, and keep checking the backing plate for heat build-up. If the plate gets too hot, I swap it out, too.

I'm sure others can offer more Menzerna-specific advice (my experiences are with Power Gloss Intensive Polish, Final Polish II, and the Blackfire "scratch resistant" compounds), but as for the heat problem, that's how I've dealt with it.

Good luck,

Tort

I didn't mean to imply that Menz products don't work with orbitals, only that it will take longer to break down than with a rotary or Flex. And, that in my experience, the UDM can run hot if you keep it cranked at 6 without the occasional pad swap/backing plate swap.

I've had my PC run a bit hot as well Tort messing around on some old bumpers. I haven't had too many problems using Menz with a DA. As Tort said, it just takes a little more time.

maybe i should apply less polish on the pad just to break quicker? What are the best pads for using with Menz polish??

you could add more oil to the bottle so that you have more lubrication for the polish

The extra oil should lower the paint temp and allow you to work it like a charm for 3 to 5 mins

And how am i suppose to use it?(quantity on the pad and how often during the process)

get small bottles (125ml is great, I have 400 of them)

Put in 70 to 90 ml of menzerna and add 20 to 30ml of parrafin and 7 ml of glycerin to that bottle

Shake it up well, apply a few drops and it's buffing heaven

I never had any problems with it. All done with SIP/106ff and an UDM
