Menz SIP vs M105

I'm about to buy some new polish to correct come marring on my GM clear. I currently have Menz IP and FP and would like to move up to either the super intensive or the megs m105 for my first wave of correcting.



I plan on going with a with a three step system this time around, so probably Menz SIP(or m105) Menz FP and finally Menz 85RD.



What would you guys recommend?
 
Now I can use my Makita Rotary safely with M105? What about following M105 with Menz Final and than 85RD, are those three a descent combo you think?

Is the final polish still leaving holograms? hence the 85rd? I have an 02 yukin with the GM clear. I can get the SIP to finish down lsp ready most of time time, and even the M105 finishes down really nice, even with the PFW pads. My combo will include the 106 final polish as the last step before lsp just to make sure it is perfect. Not sure what car you have, but on my Yukon I like to make the process as simple as possible due to the time it takes.

I'm not saying the final will leave holograms, I'm positive it doesn't. I heard all the rave reviews about jeweling with 85RD and how it just makes the black look like a pool of inc. If I can eliminate that one step AND save the cash by not purchasing the 85RD than I may just do it. So you're saying M105+Menz FP and we're good to go for LSP??
 
Yeah. On the other hand, my car is white, so something like an extra polish step doesnt make a huge difference. The final finish after 105 looks so insanely glossy, i cant imagine how another step would really make a difference. The final finish finishes down so nice, and compared to the po85 there is very little difference. I have personally tried all the menzerna products. With a Gm clear coat like I have, it requires ALOT of cut, many passes. To cut and burnish each panel is taking 1.5 hrs. Stick with the menzerna products recommended for the Cermic clear coat. IME experience, on the GM clear the SIP was almost cutting as hard as the M105, and I tried them both on orange LC and PFW both on makita rotary. Your using a rotary or an orbital?
 
On hard GM Clear, if you're planning a 3 step polish, I would use Power Gloss with Purple Foamed wool, SIP with orange CCS and Super Finish with White CCS pad. You can work down the diminishing abrasives in SIP enough that you don't need another step between 85rd. Also if you're doing a 3 step, you'll get a lot more scratches out by starting with something more aggressive like PG. On GM Clear, I would also recommend 106FA over 85rd, as they finish the same, but 106FA has a little more initial cut.
 
M105 has some serious cutting power. It was able to remove sanding marks that Ultimate Compound and 3m compounds couldn't. I two stepped it on GM clear following up with ZPC on a white pad.
 
Cool so you have the same paint as me. I honestly think I'm going to go with M105, I just dont know how it will work with my 3M pad, I know that with the orange LC pad they work well.
 
Ram Air hoods have different clear than the rest of the car(they were painted at ASC). It's thicker and harder. The plastic fenders have the softest clear. Only use 105 where needed. Use UC as a substitute for SIP.
 
The hood can definitely use the M105....I might just stick with the IP and use up whatever I have left of it before jumping to SIP....man this is challenging lol. I've never had an issue with product selection/choosing till it comes time to cut the paint.
 
TTT- so just to double check one more time guys, will Menzerna Final Polish be able to remove the hazing/maring caused by M105?
