Melting Meguiars #16 Wax??

I have 4 or 5 partial tins of Meguiars #16 paste wax and i want to reduce them down to a couple of tins. Can i melt them down in a oven? If not how can i do it? Thanks

best float the can in a pan of warm water....it doesnt need to boil



then lift em out with pliers and pour into one tin and let it stand to cool off

I'd scrape all the cans into one first, then use the above method to melt it into a single block...saves trying to pour molten wax. Or you could just scrape them all into a double boiler then pour it back into one can. Just use the minimum heat necessary to avoid driving off solvents.

I would be hesitant on melting nuabas (freezing as well). I would be worried it would ruin it permanently.

Nope, doing it over a double boiler or the way it has been suggested works just fine. I and many others on this board have done it numerous times with no resulting problems. Just don't heat it more than is needed. You may not believe me until you try it but it works with no problem.
