Melted boot on motorcycle exhaust???

My neighbor has a Harley and his wife's boot melted a bit on the chrome exhaust. Any ideas?

First try to scrape it off after it's been ridden. Most of it should come off since the gunk is more gooey from the heat. I used a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water to remove the rest. I still have a little imprint on my pipes, but nothing that I can't stand.

There may be other chemicals that work better that others could recommend. Just be careful not to use anything super strong. good luck!

For the little bits that are left try a wood paint stir stick and use it like a scraper. Wood's soft and grippy.

That works great. Clearkote's Blue Moose takes it right off too, but it isn't offered for sale yet.
