I agree that they are used in the same way, sprayed out of a bottle and wiped on and off with a towel, but that's where the similarities end. QD's were made to allow you to remove light dust and soil without affecting your LSP and without washing the entire vehicle. A spray wax IS your LSP and is not meant to be applied on a surface with light soil and dust on it. I think it would be safe to assume that most, if not all, LSP's are going to be more durable than QD's and surely they should add more to the finish in comparison to a QD.



I think a fair comparison would be putting like products, as in QD's, against each other, products like DG FCS/ClearKote QS/FK 425/Mothers Showtime/4* Gloss enhancer/Pinnacle Crystal Mist/Wolfgang Detail Spritz

+1 THis is the ANSWER right here! Also If i may add a Qd lube is thin and wipes on wipes off Much easier than any actual Spray wax considering it is wax and will haze and shouldnt be used on dust surfaces so that said. the steps would be to use a QD before a spray wax!

And megs UQD which IMO is very similiar to DG AW have to seem to combine these steps into one superb product!!:xyxthumbs
 
I tried FK425 and QS before.Quite impress with the result I get from them.So currently using FC&S,love the slickness and also the anti-static effect.As for me,i would use a QD to clean up surface before I layer AW over.
 
I really like UQD ! But I still use 425 and QuickShine. PB Quickshine is a sleeper for lots of detailers.
 
FK 146 is like 425 with cleaning ability, I would say 146 rivals UQD and provides a better comparison as 425 doesn't have much if any cleaning ability.

I haven't tried 146, but 425 has no problem removing bugs and light contaminates from my car's paint and glass.
