Meguiers NXT

NXT is a polymer based wax. Somtimes refered to as a sealent. You can top a NXT with a carnauba wax but not the other way around NXT contains cleaners that will take away some or all of the carnauba. HTH

Is #26 better than #16? vice-versa? or about the same?
Sorry for multi-posts...thought of diff questions at diff times lol

Correct about the nxt and then 26.

i have not used 16 but i hear it gives a clear look. The 26 gives a very warm look. HTH

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do you feel you need to put anything over the NXT? When I was using it on the GTP last summer, it looked about as good as anything I have used. Filled some swirls, cleaned a little bit, seemed to darken the red slightly and overall seemed to be a pretty decent product.
I'm not too sure the carnauba topper is going to add much to it, but I guess you will find out.

in my opinion nxt should be left alone... u should only layer it twice and then add an extra one every 4 weeks. ive tried tons of carnubas over nxt and i feel that they all took a lot away from the nxt. nxt in my opinion is the only sealant along with upp that should be left alone. unless u're topping it with souveran, then by all emans go ahead... lol.. souveran rocks!

Actually, i think #26 is a blend, it's not a pure carnuaba.
Actually, most fine carnauba's are a blend of "pure carnauba", silicones and polymers. #26 is a pure carnauba in that sense. I believe #16 has some other "waxes" in it....... not sure though.

I totally agree with you one this, FWIW, #26 is as close as you are going to get to a carnauba wax in the Meguiar's lineup.

Some detailer use canuaba wax over synthetic to make it more wet look. I can't say for NXT. Maybe they do better alone.

liquid or paste should do just fine. the spray wax is really a follow up on the nxt, and really should not be used as the base for protection.

joyriide1113.....
What I really wanted to know was whats the big differnace in using, how many times a month do i havta apply it, how easy, and say I use liquid apply the whole car then i can spray wax it??

The liquid version of NXT is all I have used.
Some of my thoughts on it.

1. It should be used on paint in fairly decent shape for best results.
2. If your paint is oxidized or in bad shape otherwise, NXT really doesn't have strong enough cleaners to handle that..
3. Meguiar's ColorX would be a good prep that you could get locally.
4. My paint was in good shape, but I did use Klasse AIO for my prep/base. (Like I do with most every product I use:))
5. The NXT was easy on, easy off. I don't remember that it stained the trim, but I don't usually get stuff on trim unless it is intentional.
6. It should look good for at least a month, maybe longer.
7. I don't know anything about the Spray Wax, but I just used a Spray & Wipe or a quick detailer between applications.
8. It will help hide/remove? some swirls, but it is not going to remove tham like a true swirl remover.
