Meguiar's Trim Restorer

If you have an older car that has faded moldings or trims, you must try this product. It worked great for me today. It fully restored the black to a faded grey molding. It left a smooth feeling and dried within minutes. Everything came right back to black within seconds with little effort.

I am trying to shrink the pix to show the results.

i will get all the info. this product was easy and worked fast.
 
crap! I forgot to shrink the pics, sorry! But let me tell u, the difference in the untreated section and the treat part is like night and day. Good job man.
 
i've seen the pics too. That stuff is amazing. Right now i'm using Black Again which works, but it leaves a really oily residue with any 'over spray' where you get it on the paint or windows instead of the trim. Does the Meguiars do that? Aside from just leaving that i've found it's a little stubborn to remove. Works great on trim though (i did a focus yesterday with wax stains on the trim.. going to get some more pics and then do a big post)
 
I've had the same experience with the "new" Black Again formula. The old version that came in the white bottles was more like a cream than a gel and I really liked that one. The gel is just too greasy for me.



I ordered some of the Meguiar's Trim Restorer and will see how well that works.
 
My Volvo 850 has dark grey trim -- I wonder if the Meguiar's would work on it? Or is it only for black? :confused: I've been using Wurth's Rubber Care, and it does OK, but looks rather blotchy unless you apply tons of it. And after a rain, there tends to be streaks on the trim.
 
this is the bottle. I have pix of before and afer but need to shrink them. the bottle is laying on the trim that was gray it is now black.

works great.

I used this of running board scuff plates, mud guards, body moldings, roof racks, just about anything that is black or grey and needs to be reconditioned.

I've used this product for about nine months. In the beginning it was one of my favorites. i still use it because it is good. But on most of the cars Ive used it on, it lasted only a few weeks. I like it...and still use it...but i am looking to do better.
 
Amazing stuff...I just tried some EO Protectant lotion today, and was impressed with it. I am going to be getting some of that soon. Spreads very evenly, much better than other trim stuff I have used, and buffs to a nice Satin finish, even on tires. On tires, it seems to work into the rubber by itself, and gets a nice satin finish which is dry to the touch afterwards. Too bad I didn't get a dig. pic (no camera), but works very well. And cheap.

I love peanut butter for removing wax residue and on faded plastic trim. Just remember after using Peanut Butter to use the protectant of your choice.
