Meguiars Quik Detailer any good?

I have used Meguiars QD with what I believe are excellent results. I am not certain the criteria that others are judging it on or what is expected from a QD, but I can't imagine you being disappointed with Meguiars QD for exactly what it is....a QD that enhances your shine and cleans inbetween washes. I would however be interested in trying the Final Inspection seeing that others have found it favorable to the QD.

Meguiars Quik Detail and Quick wax smear like crazy. Thats my experience.

Armor All Paint Protectant, Mothers showroom shine and Eagle One Wipe and Shine work the best IMO. :)

I'm not sure why anyone really thinks that the consumer grade QD (in the red bottle) is any different than the "professional" grade Final Inspection. It's the same stuff, guys.

I don't know where the idea started that they were 2 different products, but I've never bought into that. Same stuff, different bottle.

Actually, they are not quite the same stuff, but close. Neither one contains silicone, but the FI is designed, and contains additives, to give a bit more gloss and shine.

I've always understood them to be the same product with different packaging.

They are both the same color and have the same nice smell. So if chemically they are the same it wouldn't surprise me. It is just cheaper to #34 by the gallon.

I think the Meguiars QD does a great job for what it is intended for. IMHO, There doesn't seem to be much purpose in choosing a more expensive QD if your intention is only to clean and add shine inbetween washes and waxes, because it seem to do that well.
