Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Tech Wax

I...I don't understand...

:chuckle:

I think PS is a great wax. I just don't think it's really any better than M26 or Natty's Blue lookswise. That's just me. I'm sure others will feel differently. Either way, looks are pure subjective. I'll admit it's a lot easier to take off than M26 and we seem to disagree on the ease of use of Natty's Blue, but let's just assume that PS is easier to wipe off than both. PS costs $95. Natty's Blue costs $20. M26, $11. I just don't think it's worth the extra $$ for ease of use.

Don't get me wrong. I love PS. I just feel it's overpriced.

Today I ordered some opti seal. I have read that NXT mutes flake and from the look it just might be doing that. I also have some CC EZ creme to try.

After these I will call it good. Accumulator, I really do love Collinite and when I polish my wife's Mazda5 van I will use it. I will also try it on my Vanagon camper when I get to it. I just can't seem to make it look Great on this dark metal flake paint.

Try a coat of NXT on top of the Collinite. It's the #845 right?

That's why my pal wants it on his Jag, in his opinion it mutes the flake just enough to make it look a little more like the period-correct single stage metallic (as opposed to what it really is, basecoat/clearcoat metallic).

Hmmm....I got the best pre-Collinite polishing effect with 1Z polishes (High Gloss followed by WaxPolishSoft). The HG might be just a *little* hash for use on the Mazda, at least if it's like my MPV. Something like Menzerna FPII might do the trick, but based on my GMC I sure wouldn't try their 106FF.

No, I hear ya. My two favorite 'nubas are PS and Natty's Blue, both of which get frequent use on my black GMC. If I put them on side-by-side, I like to think that the PS looks a little better. However, I readily admit that the difference may just be in my head. Bottom line: is PS worth over four times as much as Natty's Blue? No. But I still like it and I'll continue to buy it. I never said I was rational :xyxthumbs

Good heavens, "frequent" must be an understatement and your GMC must be a lot smaller than mine  No way I'd do my beast with Souveran, much as I love how it looks on my Jag. Heh heh, no way I'd do it with *anything* that needs redone more than a few times a year for that matter!

Haha, I sure hope not!

I now understand why you insist on ease of application. I think you would need another day just to take it off if you used M26.:goodjob

Bostonsfavson- Yikes, that *is* almost as much sheetmetal to wax as my DenaliXL

The XL, eh? That's a lot of real estate to cover. Whenever I get a call to do a Denali XL or an Escalade ESV, a little part of me dies. They're great vehicles though. Really nice looking.

Haha, yea, "ease of use" is pretty high on my list of qualities to look for in an LSP. I think that's why I've been all about UQW lately.
