Meguiar's New Tech Wax

Scott, I've applied Meguiars #7 over Nxt without any problems. I have some S100 Carnauba I can try on the hood, I'll let you know if I have any problems with that.
 
:bounce Just wanted everyone to know how happy i am with NXT. I own the S2000 that Mike Phillips photo'd for the NXT post. Over the weekend my friends and I were lucky enough to spend the day with Mike at Meguiars. NXT is all it is made out to be. Went on easy and came off even easier. I have used Meguiars Gold Class, #26, and Medallion. None of which provided the luster to my cars finish like NXT. Not pictured in Mike's post, is my father in-laws car. He bought a 2003 Vet approximately one month ago. The Vet looked great and the finish on the car was perfect. Mike applied one coat of NXT with no prep, and the Vet took on a new deep color/luster. In addition, there was a Ford F150 approximately a 1999 there that day. The truck is not garaged, and had not been waxed or anything else in two years and showed it. One applicationg of NXT, and you can not believe the results. Thanks again Mike for the training and help!

Gotta tell ya, I didn't see the need to add anything over NXT. I will see if I can get some shots set up to show NXT and P21S side-by-side. NXT makes the finish every bit as dark and wet looking.

I'll post some pictures of the event today, (if I get time), got to tell everyone... lately I have just been slammed to the wall with projects and no time to post pictures or answer questions.



Heck, I still have pictures and a write up for Sniper, and the 1965 Corvette I buffed out recently, pictures and comments for the Ford SVT day at Meguiar’s, Pictures and Comments for the LAPD day at Meguiar's and yesterday's event, an Editor from Motor Trend and Corvette Fever magazine's before and after demonstration on his 1986 black Corvette.



But thanks again djs, I'll try to post some today, and it was a pleasure working on your car, as well as your friends cars.

I'm assuming that picture is with the Tech Wax still applied? It must either that or the lighting because it looks all cloudy and as if there are buffer lines of product especially on the headlights and the front around the emblems? It could also be the lighting.

Hi Greg,



It's the clouds overhead reflecting that I think you see. The finish is absolutely clear as glass, with super high gloss.



Lately I have found it extremely difficult to get really good refelction shots of the hoods of cars because of the sun location.

Question, could you topped the KSG with the NTX, or it has to be just the NTX. By example



83-82-aio-ksg-NXT or 83-82-NXT or 83-82-NXT-P21S, give some examples please, other issue do you know if your reps in Mexico has this product. My Monterrey Reps wants me to apply the whole line of products, not just the polishers and cleaners as I do know, so could be good if they have it here

I don't think you would have any problelms with this combo.

From my experience, after your polishing process, you will get best results going right to the NXT Tech Wax. I also have not noticed any visual benefit to applying more than one coat before having time pass, but... I have been applying two coats nonetheless.
Other issue, do you know if your reps in Mexico have this product?

If they have access to the Consumer Line, they will have access to the NXT Generation products.

Can it be that killer of a product?
 
Yesterday, December 16th, I did a before and after photo shoot with an Editor for both MotorTrend and Corvette Fever magazines.



Here's a before picture of the candidate Corvette. This car was neglected, and parked outside for over 3 years. In this pictures, all we have done is wash the car.

Because the finish was so bad, we used ScratchX by hand with a foam applicator pad, and then applied one coat of NXT Tech Wax.



We then pulled the car out into the sun for a photo. Previously in this thread, someone asked what was being recommended for a pre-wax cleaner.

As I mentioned previously on this thread and at SCG, because of the posistion of the sun this time of year, it's really hard to get good sun reflection shots. For the below pictures, we tilted the hood forward.



While the level of quality for the finish is not up to my standards, we were only trying to show what could be accomplished by hand, on really neglected paint.

I think you guys are missing the point of these posts. Mike was not trying to sell anyone anything. Everyone is just saying that they are dying to try it out.

Wow, Mike! Between you and Scottwax, you guys are killing me. So many excellent before and after shots. Kudos. :bow
 
i'm a definate noobie, i've tried an awful lot of products, (i really like zaino the best so far) but am i missing something? the pictures i see here look to me like they have horrible swirlmarks both before and after. please excuse my ignorance as i'm just seeking knowledge.
