Meguiars Microfiber Towels

Hey All,

I just picked up 5 packs of Megs Gold Class MF towels. Anyone used these yet? Any feedback? I think they are new, this is the first I'm seeing of them in the local pep boys.

Do these come in the same ultimate wipe bag but are now borderless? The original one with the border was hands down my favorite towel. The new one's are pretty basic, nothing out of the ordinary. I was actually disappointed when i opened the package to find a new one. I think it was a mistake to make them more plush, took away from the bite they used to have.

I got one of the Megs Super Shine MF's as a gift. Its not too bad. It has a border similar to the white Ultimate Wipe. I don't think its as plush as some of the towels I have used (Pakshak Ultras, Der Wunder, CBT etc).

For the average detailer that wants a nice MF that can be easily obtained. This will fit the bill.

L33...the towel with the black border that you refer to is the old style ultimate wipe that is not sold anymore. The current Ultimate Wipe is the edgeless one that you don't like.

I'm not so sure plushness necessarily makes a good MF. I think that especially hurts in harder to remove products.

I used them to dry the car today after washing. It's still too cold to start detailing it :( But soon enough!! :D Anyways, I've always used a tanners choice chomois to dry, and it scratches the surface easily. Using the MF towels dried it nicely, and didn't seem to add any more swirls than where there, these MF towels also appeared to absorb better than the chamois and hold quite a bit of water. I love em! But remember that's coming from a guy that's used "the absorber" and chamois to dry in the past, and nothing but terry cloth towels to wax and polish. Comparing these to the terry towels I normally use is just sick, the terry towels feel like a scouring pad compared to the MF ones. I'm officially a MF guy from now on. :bow
