Meguiars M20, Thoughts?

I am about finished with my first bottle of M20. Before I order another, I am curious if any of you have used it, like it, hate it, prefer something else.

I found it to be really easy to be easy to work with and a good clean look when finished. I know that is not a detailed review but I'm not really a reviewer.

Thoughts?

M20 has always been one of my favorites; I use it a lot for basic winter prep details since it seems to really hold up to the salt and road grime well.

Very easy to use, nice slick feel, light cleaners, and a great product for those who like to wax/seal often. If you like it I see no real reason to change. :)

I don't like. It fades too quickly in the winter months when salt touches it. I prefer something more durable.

Really? My experience has been the exact opposite. Do they use chemical de-icers where you are, by chance?

Hey Charlie. They use standard road salt and they also use a brine that is sprayed on the roads just prior to a storm. I find that stuff really kills most LSP's. Seems Collinite, UPGP and WGDGPS are about the only ones that can take the constant beatings of these harsh de-icers.

Yeah, I'll bet that brine makes all the difference. We don't have anything even remotely like that here, just the standard salt with maybe a little sand mixed in as needed.

We have brine used on our roads here too and nothing that Meguiar's has has been able to withstand the winter for me. I've had to wax 2-3 times each winter because of the nasty stuff on the roads. This year I have better stuff in my arsenal. :D

Good information. M20 is what I was considering for my personal cars. Can you build up multiple coats with M20.

What's the better stuff?

M20 has chemical cleaners in it. My experience is limited although in theory I would say there may be better products suited to layering (at least to limit of how much product the paint can accept).

i really like the m20 for vehicles where they arent taken care of the best, and the owner dont want it buffed just "waxed" works great for that, surely contains chemical cleaners but that is the reason why i use it on those vehicles owner dont want buffed and hasnt been taken care of like it should be, really does bump up the gloss if paint is dirty, good product does last a good while down here in SC. i prefer collinite or wolfgang DGPS but for the uses i described above works great for that....
