Meguiars Hand Polish

what is this product used for? I got a bottle of it, but not sure how to use it. I was thinking I'd do DACP with light cut pad, then Hand Polish with polish pad, then carbanuba wax by hand.

does that sound okay? I wanted to use Exp, but I think the Hand Polish has alot of oils so the Ex-p won't bond. Would the hand polish remove the marring made by the DACP? thanks!

should be ok. cant gaurantee u'll get all the micromarring out but it should get the job 80% done with decent results

If it's #81 Pro Hand Polish........... I love the stuff! :bigups

It is very similar to #7. As a matter of fact, I prefer it to #7 on clear coat paints (it is made for clear-coats, #7 really isn't), as it is easier to use than #7......... and yes, it is loaded with oils. I would not recommend using it with EXP. However, I use it under Natty's just fine! :bigups

Meg's #81 Hand Polish has very little abrasiveness to it.
If your DACP does leave some marring, I would try one section with the Hand Polish before you do the entire car.
It supposedly does about the same thing as #7, but without the hassle that #7 gives some people. (Like me) Seems to be pretty well thought of.
FWIW, Even though it is called Hand Polish, the Meguiar's Professional catalog says it is suitable for Hand, Orbital, D/A Polisher use.

for those who have used this product is it worth using a PC to apply if I'm not removing marring? I'm thinking of using Megs Hand Polish + Natural Wax as my monthly protection. It would be alot easier if I could do it by hand.

any one has a few tips on application/removal of this product? wipe on wipe off? foam, MF, or terry applicator? thanks!

I did #81/Natty's on a Harley last week. The paint was completely faded (An 86 FLH w/ lots of Mi's) and the #81 brought it back to life. With the Natty's on top it looked soaking wet. It does sacrifice durability, but if you're like me and are polishing/waxing monthly, durability is irrelevant.

I used a microfiber applicator and a microfiber towel for removal. I've never had any luck with terry towels.

Like Boss mentioned, #81 is an AWESOME product. Think of #81 Hand Polish in the same light as #7 with a very very slight amount of cleaning power... also, think of it as a product that is more designed with modern catalyzed finishes in mind...
