Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer

Maybe i can be nominated for an award. You know, for finding a way to change water on a molecular level into a "goo" type substance. Watch out folks this may revolutionize modern day science. Maybe they can call it the Foley Process. (my last name)

CHPSK8...DRAINO...lol!

Ahh yeah i just tried calling and she said she is busy. God i hope i get to see this new substance before it magically disappears.

-UPDATE-

OK..after her talking about taking it somewhere to get it cleaned i convinced her to stop my house. She passes it on her way home from her work. So pics and explaination tomorrow morning.

Almost forgot...the viscus goo has now mutated into a series of perfectly spaced dots all over the trim. Still in goo form though.

-UPDATE-

Ok saw the car last night. I honestly don't know what to make of it. The trim detailer somehow gelled to the door trim. It was sticky and defenitly didn't look like i had put a water based product on the car. I removed it with some QD and a MF. Took some arm work but it came off.

The only way this must have happend is the product may be old...i know it's at least 3 years old and sitting in my garage through the south florida summers must have turned it bad or...who knows

I'm going to try it again on my car this weekend and see if i can't duplicate the results.

The funny thing was it only happend on the door's plastic trim and none of the rubber trim.

Maybe it's just BMW plastic?

Well that's it for the mystery of the Gold Class Trim Detailer. Thanks for helping everyone.

I took pics but you can't tell what the hell your looking at. lol.

I find that GC Trim Detailer really clogs up the nozzle on the bottle...basically turns to a hard plug. So it could be age, but it sounds more like some reaction with that particular trim material. Is it possible that the trim had some sort of transit coating on it that the GC dissolved?

That's what i was thinking. Maybe there was allready some sort of sealent on the trim.

And i might call Meguiars if it happens again but...like i said i've used this stuff for years without any problems. So maybe it was a fluke. But i doubt i'll be using on any more customer's cars just because i don't want it to happen again.

I'll still use it on mine of course. Would AIO work as a trim detailer i wonder?
