Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detail

MUCH better product than Mothers Back To Black. Gold Class Trim Detail is a thicker paste and won't run like Mothers. I have a black canvas Tonneau cover over my pickup truck bed and BOTH products could get the cover looking clean, black and new again, but the Gold Class was SO much better to work with and costs about the same as Mothers.

Gold Class smells better and did a nice job with the other black trim on my truck.

It's been a bit hard to find so far. I found the Trim Detail at Auto Zone. Now if I could just find the Gold Class Wash, I'd be happy.

I find the ease of use to be about the same, but the Gold Class Trim Detailer lasts much longer. It will survive a wash or two; Back to Black? Forget it. Both excellent products, but I definately perfer the Gold Class because of its durability.

I hope Forrest sees this. I love Mothers products, and am very fond of the Back to Black, but I don't use it any more due to the longetivity issue. I hope they can brew up a longer-lasting formulaiton!

<strong class='bbc'>I saw. I read. I took it to heart.

Seriously, there is a reformulation in the works for B2B. Thanks for the input. [/b]</blockquote>Wow he's fast! If only all manufacturers could do that! :up to MOTHERS.

I have used this product as well, and I was innitially happy with it and it's longevity. Unfortunately, after it rains there were greasy streaks down the paint from the vehicle's black door handles and rear-view mirrors.

I still haven't found something that I like. :(

Home run Hero:

GC wash has been hit-or-miss around here at the Autozones. No problem, found a gallon of it for $9.99 at the local Target (after seeing a few posts on this board) after reading this board. Actually, the Target had a pretty nice assortment of Meguiars products.

Cheers

After using the Gold Class Trim Detailer, let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes, and then get a microfiber cloth or terry cloth, and buff off the excess. Longevity is the same as if you left it on without the buff-off process, and you avoid the streaking that can happen after a rain.
