Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Combo

So here we go

Product: Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Combo (I will be including both in the review as though they are one product since I use them as a pair)

Description as of Autogeek (which is similar if not the same as bottle :

Leather is a real luxury to enjoy inside a vehicle, but it does have needs! Regular cleaning and moisturizing are all it takes to continue enjoying your vehicle’s leather interior for years to come. Let Meguiars show you how easy and effective premium leather care can be!

Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Combo combines Meguiars excellent aloe-enriched leather care products into one two-step system. This is complete leather care made easy.

16 oz. Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Cleaner
Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Cleaner is a pH-balanced, deep cleaning formula that safely removes dirt and stains from leather without drying it out. Because it contains aloe, it nourishes as it cleans. The result is soft, clean, supple leather seats.

The cleaner works by soaking into the leather pores and emulsifying dirt, stains, and body oils. The grime rises to the leather’s surface where you can easily wipe it away. The toughest stains will disappear – lipstick, coffee, grease, ketchup, make-up, and all sorts of kid-related stains. Your leather will look and feel like new!

16 oz. Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Conditioner
Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Conditioner is a thick, moisturizing lotion formulated specifically for automotive leather. It contains nature’s own moisturizer, aloe, to repair and preserve the leather’s supple texture. The aloe-rich lotion sinks into the leather to nourish and soften the leather’s fibers from the inside out. Regular conditioning will prevent cracking and splitting so your leather stays soft and smooth.

Unique among leather conditioners, Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Conditioner provides polymer protection to your leather seats. The polymers are highly breathable so the inner fibers of the leather do not dry out. The advanced formula leaves your leather upholstery looking rich and natural, not artificial.

The Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Aloe Combo fulfills all the requirements of proper leather care: pH balanced, UV protection, moisturizers, and gentle cleaning. This simple, two-step system will leave your leather soft, clean, and well-protected. (Auto Geek)

Ok.. so this is a lot of copy paste so now is where i start to really have fun

Cost: The combo is $15.99 USD

Price per application: not sure but you really don’t need to use to much of this stuff. it seems to go a long way. I would say it is defiantly under a buck and application

Competitors: there are a ton of leather products on the market; almost every brand has one so I’m not going to list them all.

Texture and colour: The cleaner is a blue, jelly, and slimy. If anyone has tried one of those second skin burn patches it reminds me of that. If not it reminds me of like a blue jelly (like jam but not jam)
The conditioner is white, it is basically like a skin cream, It is a slippery, white creamy substance, Like hand cream or sun screen

How I use: To use this product is very simple. I start with a clean yellow foam pad, I put a small quarter sized amount of the cleaner (blue) onto the center of the pad and start to rub it into the leather. I make sure to cover all areas and miss nothing. Next I used a clean terry cloth (yes I use terry on interiors) to wipe up whatever is on the seat (which is a slimy coating, don’t worry it goes away after you wipe it)
Next I get another yellow foam pad, I apply the same amount of product, this time I use the conditioner (white). I wipe it all over the leather adding more as needed, and making sure to give everything a nice healthy coating.
Once I have applied it onto them seats I move onto another seat or section, this gives the product time to be absorbed by the leather.
After I do all the seat I finally start to rub off any excess. Again I simply wipe off with a clean terry towel cloth. It is very simple

Result: have been nothing but impressed, I know I don’t like megs. allot but I have actually fallen in love with this product. It leaves the leather feeling soft and smooth. It is a inexpensive product for personal use, and seems to last a while. I do 3 cars with leather (plus one with coated but that’s another topic) and have done each at least 2 times and still have about 3/4 of product left in both bottles

Final thoughts: I really like this product. It will stay in my arsenal until I can find something to replace it. Although you wouldn’t think it to be a high quality product (how its labeled and marketed gives me this idea) it surpassed all my expectations.

Would you recommend: Defiantly give it a shot. its only 16 bucks USD so there’s not a huge finical burden to try it, so go for it I think you will be happily surprised

Any comments or questions would be appreciated

Thank you for reading

-mike

wow how could I forget that. The finsih is a shinier matte look, kinda like 303. It looks really good when using 303 on dash, eveything matches

All your many years of detailing experience sure shows in your reviews. Too bad I can never get to that level as I am just starting out and I believe from another thread I read that we are very close in age.

Thank you very much, but you can get to this level, i am still an amature with a pasion. I have been doing this less then a year (well its like 11 months or somthing now)
Age means nothing, its the pasion and attention to detail. I am an accounting student so i deal with deatils all day and its no diffrent with my car.. maybe im a bit ocd. But thank you for the kind words and just give it some time and practice and youll make me look bad :yay

edit: post 775, wow i need a life

The RA conditioner leaves a glossy look and it's slick. Looks good but doesn't soften a lot. Maybe the cleaner does the softening.

Leaving just the conditioner on would do that to you, the cleaner enables the conditioner to do its work. Apply the cleaner and it is NOT shiney, and its not slick, its a lovly soft feel. Feels like seats are almost new.....now this doesnt have anything on leatherique or connolly, but it is a good option for someone who cant justify the higher cost of those other two.
