Which DA you recommend for corrections and finishing and why? What are the difference if any between those machines. I would like to use Meguiars 105 /205 or Menzerna power finish/PO85RD, please advice.
The Griots has the highest amperage motor (7amps) therefore will offer you the most torque. I believe that the Meguairs G110V2 has 4.5amp motor but it has a loop feedback circuit that keeps the speed of the da constant when pressure is applied to the unit. The Griots da does not have the feedback loop circuit to constantly adjust the da speed. I have yet been able to make my Griots come to a complete stop when it is on speed setting of 6. If I have to put that much pressure on a body panel then I am going to put a dent in the panel from putting some much pressure on the Griots from trying to stop it. Griots has a life time warranty. Meguairs comes with a 1yrs. warranty. Meguars gives you a nice canvas bag to carry the G110V2 around in.
For Polish recommendations the more experienced detailers in the forum will be the ones to offer you the best advice. I am not qualified in this arena area yet.
In addition you can often find the Groits at reduced prices if you are patient--watch Amazon Gold Box Deals. I've seen the $200 kit for $100 and the GG6 alone for $80--haven't seen them in awhile, so they might be coming up soon. You have to act fast though as they usually sell out in a few hours.
