Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System

I'm currently working on Klassing my whole truck and decided I would have a little fun.

I'm going to polish my whole hood. I'm then going to apply several coats of Klasse SG to one side and another wax to the other half. I'm not going to go buy any more wax so I'll leave it up to you guys to decide from my current supply.

Ok, Pick the Wax!

I gotta say Meguiar's Gold Class. That stuff looks really fantastic on any color. Much better than any off the shelf wax I've used. With the exception of Blitz, of course.

I'm wanting to do this to compare a carnauba wax to a synthetic. I'll apply whatever you all vote on.

Besides, the carnauba will be on there for a few days then it is coming off and the whole hood will be klassed :D

Out of the products you listed, I've used Meguiar's GC and #26 for a long time before going to Zaino. So, I voted for GC since it did give a decent shine, even if it lasted only a week. I remember using more GC than #26 though, so I must not have been overly impressed with #26. I also used Medallion and I actually preferred it over all of them, but it became hard to find locally... I remember 26 and GC being much harder to buff than Medallion.

#1 - Meguiar's #26. If you prep the panel right this stuff's hard to beat.

#2 - Eagle One carnauba. I haven't met too many people that have used this but I think it's great stuff.

This stuff's discontinued. If you like it, pick it up where you can find it! Contact Eagle One direct if you want it.

As a matter of fact, I just started a little wax test of my own. I Blitzed half my hood, put Eagle One Pure Carnauba Wax on 1/3 of the hood, and MGC'd another part of it. We'll see!

Wow - neck and neck!

I like both the leading products, but I voted for #26 because I found it to be more durable than the MGC. Still liked MGC - but for the protection, #26 way outlasted it, IMHO.

yhea, I know. I've got a full can though :D

Not many people seem to have tried Eagle One Wet wax. But they should! It goes on easy, buffs off nicely and has a really good swirl hiding ability. Much better than most I have tried. I was very impressed with the results and found it a good value for the money. It did a good job on my friends Jag XK8 that was really swirly!:up

I agree, Eagle One Wet is one of the easiest waxes to buff off that I have tried. You pretty much have to use no pressure to take it off.

Yhea, that is the wax.

It is easy to apply and buff off. The shine is also excellent! I've got a picture around with it on my highlander.

I'm not sure about the durability though. I applied #26 over it a few days later.

It does stain trim and plastic. It is easy to get off trim but WOW!!! I still can't get it all off the plastic. I have used toothbrushes and a paintbrush. I'm going to be trying a degreaser on it soon.

Intel, Argh! I voted for Gold Class...but now that I think about it, I should have voted for Meg #26. GC is a 'glossier' type of wax and so you'd probably be able to tell more of a difference in shine using #26. So when the vote ends, take one out for GC and add one for #26. :)

Oh, thanks for the info on E1 and the pic! I think that's a very nice pic!

GC WILL give the best shine/depth of those you mentioned. Not as good as Souveran, and certainly won't last like the Klasse side. But for looks alone you will like it.
