Someone posted a link on the "Good Buys" thread for a deal on the Meguire's Smooth Surface Clay kit from Amazon.com.
For $12, you get the kit, which includes 100 grams of clay.
Amazon.com: Meguiar's G1016 Smooth Surface Clay Kit: Automotive
However, Amazon also sells 200 grams of clay for only $14.
Amazon.com: Meguiar's C-2000 Professional Detailing Clay, Mild: Automotive
Questions:
- Is the 200 grams of Professional Detailing clay the same exact clay that is sold in the Smooth Surface kit?
- The 200 grams is obviously a much better deal than the kit (since I don't care about cleaner wax or a crappy MF towel). Are there any drawbacks to buying this?
- Am I going to find a better deal on clay anywhere else? Even the ClayMagic sold at Autozone would be more expensive (100 grams for $11). Griot's sells 260 grams for $20, but I'd have to pay for shipping.
