Meguiars APC

I'm surprised at the amount of people using it on leather? Why not try some Poorboys or something else?

I use the APC on wheels, carpets, wheels wells, engine, etc. but can't imagine using the same product on leather or similar material....

I think I might know what William is talking about. For leather cleaning, I've been using it at 10:1 and for me, I find it works better if I spray onto a towel and then wipe/scrub the leather with my towel. If I spray the APC+ directly onto the leather and proceed to do the wipe/scrub, wherever you sprayed the APC you will see a discoloration and I find it to be more work wiping and scrubbing this way to get the leather to look evenly cleaned. It's especially evident on lighter colored leather. By spraying onto the towel first, not only am I preventing overspray, but the application and cleaning of the product is evenly done.

Ahh there you go. Sorry my head has been all fuzzy the last few days from lack of sleep and a new job so I have not been very good and expressing myself. I sprayed directly on to the leather and it left discoloration. That alone is enough for me not to use it again on leather. As for the rims, I wetted the rim, sprayed, let it sit for about 3 mins, agitated, hosed off and proceeded to do the other tires and rims. When I came back to the first one there was a white residue all over the rims.

I also used it once at about a 6-1 ratio to remove wax from a previous hack job near the trim around the windows and it discolored the trim. I also used it on trim on a single stage Porsche 928 once and where it got on the paint it stained the paint.

To each his own, but just a warning on what I experienced.

damn bonney you havent had much luck w/ that stuff.....

Im skeptical now, i used it on my wheel wells couple days ago and it worked out ok, afraid of using it on rims now!

Meg's APC ROCKS!

It is very suitable for the interior,

I've used it 10:1 on leather,vinyl,plastics.

4:1 I've used it on rims and wheel wells. But not on tires because I don't find it strong enough at 4:1 to clean really grimy tires(Eagle One All Wheel and Tire cleaner for this, caution:strong)

Never find Meg's APC leaving any white residue.

however I do find Meg's Safe D-greaser leaving white residue if you don't rinse it quickly, anyone else experienced this?

finally I may skip Meguiars APC. Price per gallon (in Greece) is 35.5 euro == 46.1$ I do not believe it worth that money. (In UK (i checked the price over the online shop) it cost 20 euro == 26$. I cant figure out why such i big difference when both countries considered to be Europe.

Greece sucks when ti comes to detail supply, both price and availability :(
