Meguiar's all purpose cleaner plus

To clean this back seat floor carpet, it took me around 10-15 minutes with a good carpet brush and around 18oz of premixed solution. The owner was extremly satisfied as he had it detailed in the past and they did not get it out. Dont know what detailer he used but that person should not call himself a detailer!
 
Wow...:shocked Simply amazing.. I mean, you guys are just incredible. Each time you post before and after pics, I am just stunned. It always looks brand new. It is pictures like those that truely make you appreciate the hard work you guys are putting into this. The owners need to be forever grateful for the amount of work and effort you put into the cars you detail. Keep up the great work.

that's the APC+ that the Meguiar's Detailers use here in the Philippines, cheap and good... :) Use it on carpet, vinyl, even engine detail... just dilute it to the appropriate amount...
 
NY Detailer/Jason: What's the ratio of product did you guys use for the interior carpeting? I'm grabbing some tomorrow and I'd like to know what's a good solution for interior work... Thanks.
 
I think its a 9:1 ratio for carpet stains and 12:1 for general carpet cleaning. I may be wrong, check out the bottle for dilution rates.

An FYI, I called Meguiars about this product and they mentioned you might be able to find it in NAPA and Sherwin Williams stores.



I have a question about it for those of you that have used it, though. The Meguiars rep mentioned that it is a strong, rather chemically cleaner. My question is would you use it as a general interior cleaner, or only on tough stubborn stains? For example, if your carpets were dirty would you try a regular carpet cleaner like Meguiars consumer Heavy Duty Carpet & Interior Cleaner first (I know it says Heavy Duty, and it does a good job with dirt, but it feels like a mild formula)? Thanks for any feedback!

You can use it on the general interior, it is an all purpose cleaner. Just make sure you use the right dilution ratio for whatever you are cleaning with it.
 
I know you can, but would you? If you have used it before, does it seem mild enough that you'd want to use it all the time, or would you try something else as an everyday cleaner and just use the APC+ for tough stuff? I want the opinion of someone who's used it before, not just knowledge about how it can be used.



Maybe you've used it before, but you didn't really pass on any impression or insight from your use of it. I did read the previous posts, you know. I realize it can be used on interiors.
 
I understand, i've never used it but I plan on getting it to do just carpets and seats. I wouldn't use it on my vinyl unless there's a tough stain to get out. You can use it on wheels too.
 
I dont know who you spoke to at meguiars but i think they are wrong.



I use this product one just about everything, it does not have chemical smell to it, in fact after you dilute it, it has a clean smell to it, and leaves the car smelling fresh.





I know what the bottle says and the dilution ratio, but i dilute is around 6/1 for everything, and i never had a problem with anything.

The local Meguiar's distributor (also a detailing shop) here uses APC+ for all their interior and engine details... no problems... it's not that strong if you dilute it... of course, if you use it undiluted on upholstery, then that won't be good...
 
I plan on ordering a gallon of the APC+ next week. Does anyone know if it's safe to use on painted surfaces like door jambs or the underside of the hood and trunk?



Also, NY Detailer.......those carpet pics are amazing :up. If you don't mind my asking, what was the process? Spray on and let sit a minute, brush with carpet brush and then....? I would think after brushing then take a wet vac to it?:nixweiss
 
1:64 dilution is stated on the bottle for 'dewaxing' purposes... I use it on door jams and crevices, rinse with water in spray bottle and wipe dry with terry towel... Works great

Yeah, NY Detailer, I have the same question. I used it this past weekend on my wife's interior. It did an awesome job. I have a shop-vac, but not a steam-cleaner. I vac'd, sprayed the APC+, brushed, vac'd again, and then I took some terry-cloth towels to wipe the rest out (and then vac'd a last time to remove any terry fuzz). The vac did ok and got out a lot of dirt, but the towels did better. I didn't totally soak the material (I used about 18 ounces on the floors, mats and seats), though, so there wasn't so much liquid to pull out with the vac. Do you just spray a whole lot of it or do you have a steam-cleaner to vac it up with? Thanks!



I am really really impressed with this product. It's cleans everything with very little effort, and it doesn't feel harsh or chemically. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Do you use this same 6/1 dilution ratio for carpets, tires, wheels, engines, and vinyl?
 
I usually do 10:1 for almost anything, just because my spray bottles are segmented into 10:1 parts... but I'd stick to the recommended ratio if I had the time...



It's also wasteful IMO to use a ratio not "meant" to be used for a particular task...
 
sorry for the delay everyone, but i dont get emails from autopia anymore for some reason telling me to check a thread.



What i do is dilute the solution about 6/1. I have it in a garden pump spray bottle. I spray it directly on the stain and brush right after. I do not let it sit. I then spray the entire carpet area and brush again. you will start to see all the gook come up from the carpet. I then take the wet/dry vac and suck it all up. It is really easy to do and you should have no problems with it.



i also use this to clean wheels. I use the same solution and spray it on the wheels and use a wheel brush and clean all the wheels. This stuff really works great
