Meguiars 26 vs Collinite 915

Scottwax

I cant argue with you.  I admit I am doing more work than needed.  But, isnt that the "sickness" we all struggle with?

Glad it is working out ok.  You can also chill some of the better detailer sprays like Finish Kare 425 or Chemical Guys V7 and use that as you would the water.

Yeah I like the Vintage because of the sickness <span><span>Extreme_Radiance talks about.    But there are several very fine waxes out there for a lower price.

Once I really started focusing on the polishing aspect (as I am sure you are too), it became apparent that going with 1- or 2 go to LSPs total without layering and topping was giving me the results I wanted. Especially on my own car since that's the one I do for free. ;)

I too focus on the prep phase first. Wax is just the icing on the cake. Layering is a personal preference. I like to start with the longest lasting first and the shortest lasting last.
So in my case
NXT
476
915
M26
FYI - 915 Must be removed almost immediately. Certainly only do 1 panel at a time. Spritzing with water while applying 915 helped thin out the wax.
Tomorrow M26

I had a friend some years ago who had a Ford Bronco.  He used M26 on it about once a month.  It was very easy to apply since he waxed it so often.  It left on the best finishes on a car that I have ever seen!!!  Good luck on the M26.  I am sure you will like it.

Once again I am up early waxing. 5:30am. Dont ask me why. All finished with M26 and very pleased with the outcome. I won't post pix because I dont think its possible to capture how good this looks. And I have taken pix of a car with CC failure and it looks like a show car. So pix are not able to capture the true representation of the paint IMO.
The paint is very deep dark black like staring into a dark hole. I do like using 915 and M26 together. I think each enhances the other. I must agree with Billy Jack on this combo.

Heh heh,  here's more of my Autopian Heresy- regarding "the Sickness", I'd work on that.

Extreme_Radiance- Sounds like it's turning out great.  I agree 100% about pics over the internet.

Oh, and since FK425 got mentioned- I really, *REALLY* like the stuff, but I don't use it over waxes any more ever since it ruined some fresh 476S.  Left pseudo-holograms that I had to polish (as in, *really* polish, start over) to remove.
