Meguiars #26 Liquid Wax

But these are just minor incompatibility issues. A shot of QD usually solves the problem.

But if you spritz QD just after sealant removal, without waiting the curing time, I think it should decrease the longevity of the sealant. What do you think?

As I know, you could use QD after waxing with a carnauba, but you musn't use QD after use a sealant like Wolfgang, DP, Zaino (no ZFX'd), SG, etc... which have 24 h curing time.

maesal,

Water can disturb the curing process, but you can remove the smudges even next day, but generally, a quick spritz of QD does no real harm. The oily patches are movable, but if you want to be sure, just wait an hour because during this time 60-80% of the whole curing process is done.

Thanks :xyxthumbs

The first 8 years I detailed professionally, I used nothing but #26. Excellent depth, gloss and wetness. Pretty good durability too, 3-4 months in the Dallas area. One thing a little odd about #26. It looks great when you first apply it but a day or two later, it looks even better.

And have you compared it with liquid Souverän and 845?

Thanks man. :hifive:

Whats the difference between #21 and #26? I was under the impression that 21 was better than 26, enlighten me? :D

#21 is a synthetic sealant, while #26 is a carnauba wax...

Never used Liquid Souveran. Compared to the paste, #26 darkens the paint a bit more and is more durable, but doesn't quite have that liquid shimmer where the paint almost looks alive like Souveran.

I prefer #26 to 845, even though 845 is more durable-the look is just a tad to bright for me. Of course, I have a black car and about 35-40% of the cars I detail are also black. Change it to silver and who knows?

We use #26 on at our detail shop and highly recommend it. It's got quality, ease-of-use, and shine all in one economical package when you buy a 1 gallon container for $25.

Haha, I remember back when I joined I was looking over your Click & Brag threads and you almost always used #26 as your LSP and it looked very good on those cars. Seems like you moved on to JW and Optimum stuff as your LSP's, but they still look just as good...if not better.

Now, I don't know what I'll try... :nixweiss

Liquid Souverän vs Liquid #26. I have CMW and I like it, #845 is coming, but I think I should try more... :dance

Thanks for the advices !!

I just polisealed my car with a foam applicator. Should I top off poli-seal with #26 or would that be redundant? Does poli-seal and #26 provide similar results? My car is a dark red btw.

OPS is significantly slicker and easier to apply. The 26 will be a bit grabby initially, and cures for a relatively long time. When it reaches full curing the slickness will be up a healthy notch. Both look outstanding on reds.

I think that just leave OPS alone for a week to see if you like it or not. Then apply 26 onto a chosen part of your car to know what are the differences between the two surfaces. Use your senses well, accentuate the tactile impressions with fine towels, etc.

I have to agree. Lately I have been noticing that it doesn't leave a uniform depth which is especially noticable on darker finishes.

I didnt know this many autopians used #26! Glad that I have a popular product! I may buy me some extra even though Ive not used half of the bottle that I currently have.. :grinno:

I totally agree that #26 is awesome! I have a red F150 and #26 looks great on it. For the price I say you can't beat it! It looks awesome, super easy to work with, seriously, for $12, it should be in everyone's arsenal.
