I just p/u some meguiars #16. Have you tried it and what were your thoughts, also is it pure carnauba without any cleaners..

I tried it joe, and it was pretty nice, but a little harder on and off then some of the newer waxes. I didn't think it looked as good as my Nattys or Souveran but it did seem to hold up well. I don't know about the cleaners though.

I bought it to increase my megs products. It would be good to use on certain cars so i don't have to use my PBs,WG,Pinnacle on cars that i would do as favors.

According to Mike Phillips at MOL.
"M16 is a pure wax and contains no ingredients with the intended ability to clean the paint, for this reason the paint must be in excellent condition."

He also stated that, "Imagine P21S only you get three times as much product for one third the cost. (If you can find it)."

It has been discontinued because of VOC requirements.

If it is applied thinly as directed you will have no problem taking it off. Thin is in.

Hope this helps!!

it sure did. I picked up some off of ebay this am for a total of $16.00 w/shipping.really i don't even no the price of Megs #16, but i did wanna add to my Megs line..

Thin application for sure. I also got a bit scared of the "bear to remove" comments, so I had been applying it to 3 panels, then removing 1, apply to the fourth, remove from the second, etc. and it didn't seem too bad for removal. If you use it on a hot surface, you'll likely have some problems, though.
Also, it does bead for quite a while (just over 3 months is as long as I've gauged it), so yes, this would be a good wax for the cars you don't "touch-up" very often. Beading is very small and uniform especially when first applied.
Blue wax, smells like crayons. Little goes a loooong way. Nice look, but didn't make me think "showcar."
As cwcad said, no cleaners in it.

Im a WOWO person,so ill use it sparringly. maybe i should have invested the 20.00 in DP max wax hehe.

If you are WOWO as you stated than it's a decent wax. Very durable and beads like crazy. No cleaners and has a clear look on the paint. I didn't notice any darkening of the color. If you let it set up too long than it will no longer be WOWO. It will be WOBSO ( wipe on belt sand off:D ). I don't use it any more simply because I can get the same and often better results with much less effort from other products.

i bought it simple becasue i have heard its very durable..

i detailed two cars last week, that are outside 24/7, which dont get washed regularly..
so i appled 2 x #21, with #16 topped

i did this to see the durability for myself..

I just bought a couple of cans because I've heard it was very durable.

It does not seem to have a lot of depth/shine quite like a lot of other waxes I'm used to using. It has a very clean look, quite crisp compared to other carnauba types but less "wet". Almost looks similar to some sealants.

It is very easy to put on and take off NO problems at all, just keep it thin.

It looks pretty good on light colored cars and has a nice glow at dusk/dawn on white cars. Or at least on my car (Klasse, VM, #16)

Found a can sitting on the meguiars shelf at my local distributor. I think i will pick it up and if it sucks, get rid of it.

Greg

For daily drivers or cars that just don't get enough of your personal attention, #16 is my go to wax. It's a solid performer with durability as its strongest asset IMO.

Just gotta keep it thin...
