Megs Paint Protect

I've used it on several vehicles, but can't speak for the true longevity yet. it's easy to use and lays down a pretty slick finish, and the price point is great. shine and beading are good, but not outstanding. do one section at a time, let it dwell several minutes and easily buff off. a little goes a long way.

Here's my review on it.

Paint Protect 365 review

I thought it would be better. Ultimate wax or M21 are still a better product.

Thank-you for the link to your review and subsequent observations. I also find it interesting that the beads are so malformed (not that beading is 'necessarily' the measure of protection and durability - but what we've come to expect after a good wax or polymer sealant). It also seems questionable that the stuff could really last 365 (or over a tough winter here in NY).

I have a couple of negatives to overcome. The first is the simple fact that my truck sits outside 24/7 in the weather as my wife's Verano gets the garage. The second is our (too long) winters with slush, crud and SALT. I try and get to the coin-op pressure wash weekly, but detailing/waxing just can't happen. So I need a product that can hold up over a tough winter.
But also, perhaps compared to some, I'm only slightly obsessed...I want to keep the truck like new as long as I can, but don't really want to 'wax' every other week! I want a good durable base, then I'll use a spray wax topper (spring/summer/fall) after I wash.
I was thinking of Duragloss Total Performance Polish with an Aquawax topper after washes (which I may still do) but I saw this 365 stuff and was curious.

Footnote: Inasmuch as I want durability, I also want it to look decent too!!!

The coating takes the place of a sealant. They also require a little more prep work and some are more touchy to how you apply them than others

if you want to do it once and be done with it, coatings are the way to go for durability and usually have a 2yr or more rating. do a search in the forum for coatings and you'll see a host of outstanding results. I have used opti coat and duragloss enviroshield on friend's cars and yes they definitely last a lot longer. i live in FL and I personally don't mind detailing my ride more often so I like the wax over sealant combo BLACKFIRE Wet-Ice Over Fire Combo., but like trying everything. just make sure you have your finish corrected to where you are happy with it before coating.

On Utube someone did a test between Megs 365 and Turtle Wax Ice liquid. After 30 washes with Megs. shampoo the Turtle Wax side was still beading a lot , but the 365 was gone.

If the Guz says that, "Ultimate wax or M21 are still a better product" then that's all you need to know. I've used both and both are very short lived in terms of durability. Menz Power Lock is a much better choice, even Duragloss 105 is better and cheaper too.
