What are the difference in these two pads??? Which one do you guys prefer? As I am using Meguiars product, will using Meg's Pad offer better result?? What Meg's Pad are the similar/compared to Lake Country's Orange Pad, Blue Pad, White Pad, Black Pad???

Lake Country DA Foam Pads Comparison Chart

Megs yellow and LC white are very close. The difference is that the Megs yellow is open celled and the LC white is a combo of open and close cell. The LC white is also denser. The LC white tends to work better with water based polishes such as ZPC and Menzerna.

It's not just that pad. Machine and chemical have a HUGE influence. You can remove moderate to deep swirls with a rotary, Meg's yellow pad, and Meg's #83. I have even removed 2000 grit sanding marks with that combo and a few passes.

That chart is wrong, the edge white is softer than any pad LC makes, I own all of the colors that LC makes and all (except black) of the ones edge makes.

no, go with orange...PC takes a while, the megs polishing pad will take a while...why take two A WHILE's and put them together???

get a orange pad and use a compound, then use a megs yellow (if thats what you have) with a polish and then wax...

Compound?? I don't think my paint has that bad of swirls...well here is a rough idea on how it looks like

Will yellow do the job?? or orange pad be better??

Btw, i am using this on Meg's #80..

I find the orange pads to be just a bit too aggressive to get good results with a PC.

If you are using a rotary, then forget what I said.

HOLY HELL, that is what ALLURE left you with??? WOW!!!! I was thinking your swirls might have been light, but if thats what was left, did he even polish it?

anyway, I would go with orange and 80, then yellow and 80, or three passes of 80 on yellow...see what i am getting at???

yep!! lol...LC orange pad with 80 and yellow (which one? meg's or LC?) i assume it is the meg's? Also after 80 should i just go straight into the wax or do some #3 glaze??

lc orange with 80, then megs yellow with 80 is what I would probably do...unless you have other polishes/compounds...no need to glaze IMO because 80 is similar to a glaze, hence the term SPEED GLAZE...

I would do a test spot on #80...and see what happens...i will probaly do #80 with LC orange pad or meg's yellow.....and #9 with a LC white pad..and wax it....

ALSO! should i buy the CCS LC pad? Or the low profile Pad like all the How-To's videos???
