Megs gets it right....almost....

I picked up some Megs NXT glass cleaner on discount at Kmart. This stuff is really good. Wipes and doesn't smear-at least with a microfiber. I like it better than Invisible Glass. Only problem is Megs has it priced too high for the average consumer to buy. If they lowered the price they'd sell more.

I love the NXT glass cleaner as well! I have the same issue with the price though. Just ordered a gallon of their concentrate, hope it does as well as NXT. Have you used both? anyone else able to compare? The gallon of concentrate is $16 bucks and makes 11 gallons, so I'm sure it will last me a long time, and at that price is pretty easy to gamble on. I hope it smells as good as NXT!

Speak of the devil... Not ten minutes after my last post, the doorbell rings. UPS shows up with my gallon of detailers line concentrate! I'll pick up some distilled water tonight and mix up a bottle tomorrow. I ordered it Tuesday night, ADS has some of the quickest shipping ever! Sort of a grape smelling concentrate...

I don't see how $6 for a bottle of glass cleaner is too expensive???

I mean, if it works great, then isn't the price worth it?

Or is it just too much for the KMart crowd?

I would pay double the amount for the NXT glass cleaner as it saves me time and makes my windows perfectly clean. I find that a WWMF works best...

I agree.. I dont think $6 is too high at all? What are you expecting to buy it at $3?

You get what you pay for IMO...

Case of 12 is around $35-$40...

$30 with a discount ;)

Thats down to around $3 per can... Buying things single is a waste if you'll be using more than one!

And I'm sure your wife would love a can or 2 for home use ;)

I meant that compared to the other window cleaners at PepBoys NXT is much higher. IG is significantly cheaper at roughly $4 and NXT is $5.50 or higher. If Megs lowered the price they'd capture more OTC market share. IMO it's too expensive for the average reatail customer.

I just pick up a bottle of Windex and hot rod it with straight ammonia. Cuts through just about anything, with no streaking. The "green" multi surface Windex works a little better.

I haven't tried the NXT or any auto-based glass cleaner, just because the price works out to be more per use.

....but will destroy window tint....

:nervous2: Cuts through anything including window tint. It should work great on the exterior glass but watch out for tinted interiors.
