Megs equal to 1Z Metal polish?

I'm going to my AB supply store later today..I need a final polish..something similar to 1Z Metal polish. Can someone recommend something in the Megs line? I have Megs 82 and I'm not too thrilled with it.
 
Oh yeah..I want to use Wolfgang as a finish..not carnuba..so I can't have the glaze oils. What about 3M Finesse It II Machine Polish???
 
I bought SFP last week and wasn't thrilled..thought that 1Z MP was MUCH better. Maybe I'm using the wrong pad?? I've been using SFP with a Megs 8006 white polishing pad...would I have better luck using a finish pad?? If so..what pad??

With 82, I use the meg's yellow pad(PC and rotary). I find that the finishing pad will gum up, but the polishing pad leaves a very nice finish. I also keep a wet edge when working with 82. I find that if you work it until it is gone (like DACP) it is harder to remove and gums up.
 
I was given a small sample from a very generous fellow Autopian..I only have a little left. I'm sure many of you can understand..I'm not allowed to buy any more toys with my credit card..for awhile...you know..daughter in college..25th anniversary trip in 2 weeks, etc..etc..etc. Anyway..I try to buy items locally..stuff I can just shove in my detailing shelves and my wife is non the wiser. The last package that was waiting on my doorstep when we came home from work...well, lets just say it was a long weekend. Unfortunately, I don't have any really good local distibutors nearby, so I'm stuck with 3M and Meguiars.

3M finesse It II Machine Polish is not a good replacement for 1Z metalic Polish IMO. The 3m is much more abrasive than the 1Z MP. I would say 3M Machine Polish is closer to 1Z Paint Polish.



1Z Metalic Polish is a very light abrasive. In the 3M line I would say from more abrasive to least abrasive, Perfect it III Machine Glaze, Perfect it Swirl Mark Remover, and Perfect it III Finishing Glaze, would be good replacements for 1Z MP.



In the Megs line I would say Swirl Free Polish (wich you already tried), #9, or Machine glaze.



Also if your looking for something without the oils you are not going to find much in the Megs and 3M line up. All the products I suggested have fillers and oils in them except the 3M Perfect it III Machine Glaze.
