Megs Endurance confusion.

AA sort of acts as a primer for Endurance. I don't usually bother but after a while the Endurance does seem to get sticky and you need to wash the tires well. I find I need to let it set up for at least 15 minutes before driving the car or I may get some dreaded "sling"

As long as the sticky gos away in an hour or so! I live on a gravel/paved road that is absolutely a dust nightmare!!

I've been using Endurance for a few years now and I relly like it. It is a bit glossy for my taste, but a quick buff with an old MF after about 10 minutes does the trick. I get more even coverage with Endurance and a foam tire swipe than just about any other dressing I've tries. The key is the prime the applicator first. It doesn't seem to build up on the tires and it doesn't turn brown. Seems to last at least a week or so during normal driving conditions, too.

I got the HIGH GLOSS. It was the only bottle left for $3.00 bucks so I won't go ballistic if it doesn't give me the look I want which is natural/soft/satin. Someone on Autopia said you can wipe it down for a softer shine (High Gloss).

Paul: What is AA tire foam?

Yup, its just good old regular Armor All Tire Foam :)

I never found Endurance gel to be sticky in the least... also, no dirt or anything seemed to "stick" to my tires at all.

In fact, I don't even wipe down Endurance at all (some of you may be gasping). I used to, but I think it reduced the durability, and regrettably, the shine.

Now, I just do wipe on-wipe off AA foam, then apply an even layer of Endurance gel. It's important to get it on evenly, and make sure to "spread" the gel that tends to get into that little area between the tire and wheel.

After that, I never wipe down anymore, and haven't had any sling problem. I do let it sit at least 30 minutes before moving the tires, though.

Paul, not to appear stupid but I thought Armor All tire foam was a protectant, or is that what you meant as a primer before the Endurance?

Don't you use a cleaner first? So it would be Cleaner-AA tire foam-Endurance, is this your correct procedure?

I bought a bunch of bottles of the High Gloss for $2 from Big Lots a while ago. When I first used it I hated it. Hated how it applied (using an applicator) hated how it sprayed on at full strength (was like napalm and was HELL getting it off the rims) then I diluted it. I empty the whole bottle into my sprayer (32oz) and fill the rest of the way with water and shake. In this form I find it to be the perfect tire spray! It goes on easy, wipes off the rim easliy and can be wiped off the tire if it's too glossy for you! Give it a shot and let me know what you think!!

I just cleaned out my garage yesterday and i had a few bottles of tire dressing laying around (both spray and gel types). so what i did was i cut a plastic juice bottle in half and poured all the tire dressing stuff i had into it and mixed it around, i then found a nice clean paint brush to paint my tire dressing on from now on..

Jeez guys, why don't you try Meg Hot Shine air. spray. You just spray and walk away!!! It don't get any easier than that. Last a looooong time too.
