I don't see spitshining as being applicable to liquid waxes (the DC#3 is only available as a liquid, right?). This is just *IMO* but I don't see *diluting* a wax as being the functional equivalent of spitshining and it seems like that's all you'd be doing when using a liquid wax.
Liquids either layer/build up/whatever or they don't, it's not like you can mitigate the solvent action of a liquid by adding water/QD to it the way you can with a paste wax. I'd just use a damp applicator and see if you notice any benefit from additional applications. Much less hassle than spitshining
I used liquid wax (specifically Malm's) quite a bit back in the day and I'm basing my opinion on that. If somebody thinks I'm utterly off-base here, please post about it. This is just my knee-jerk/first blush take on the idea and I might be missing something or otherwise wrong :nixweiss
