I'm looking to pick up this system and as a noob, what would be the best size for effective correction? Thanks!

You're leaving out a lot of important information like which machine are you using, etc. But in general, stick with the 5" pads, they offer more flexibility to contour around a car.

5" definitely cuts better. The smaller surface area allows a more concentrated pressure point, but be careful as it can increase the risk of burn.

Generally, smaller is better with regard to doing correction. Less friction = lots of benefits.

I ended up ordering the 5". Should be here Tuesday and I'm excited to try the system out. My 03 has been neglected for a VERY long time.

More cutting power with a larger diameter, but my 5" has been great. I let the noobs use it before they hit the 8" rotary's I use.
