Megs 7 and 26 on Black

Well, this isn't really a click and brag about my detail or anything. More of a click and brag on how amazing I find these two products. I find myself trying other products, but keep going back to this combo. I find it really hard to beat and am always amazed that both these products are available OTC.

No polishing or claying done this time, just wash, #7, #26.

This one shows off the hood that so many hate on

Anybody else find these 2 products together a hard-to-beat combo for black and darker colors?

The car looks great, but I just don't understand the gunmetal wheels (yes, I know you are wanting to go to high-polish). They look like filthy silver wheels! Or is that the idea, that you can't tell when they have brake dust on them?

Hmmm..... so would you say the same thing about a car that was painted a dark grey color? Say a dark grey STI?

I like the look of gunmetal color personally. I think it ties in with the the dark colors of the car and the carbon fiber hood.

'looks good, but #7 is a polish with no abbrasives (pure polish)\r\n\r\ni use the combo all the time on my black magnum..\r\n\r\n

Car looks really nice, I personally like the mods. Unfortunately something like that would be stolen pretty quickly where I live.

nice job on the detail

Very nice.

Do you think the No. 7 did a lot? Seems to me that regardless of CC it'd still add some shine but it could be just my placebo.

Yeah. I think the 7 helped add "wetness" to the look. 26 darkens the paint and give off a sort of glow on my paint. Adding the 7 seems to make it wetter than just 26. That's my experience on this car at least.

I've actually never tried this combo but on black cars I commonly go with Clearkote VM and then put on either a couple of layers of Natty's Red or S100. Definitely a very deep glossy shine.

Does #7 have any cut? I cant remember. I think I have a half used bottle somewhere in my cabinet.

I guess I'm old school--I think the color should match or contrast...I've had cars with body color wheels and with bright/silver wheels.

Well, I can partially agree with you on that. My winter wheels are a gloss all black 5 star and I think I perfer the look.

I'm just not sure how my current wheels would look in gloss black. That's why I'm considering polishing them out instead.

Brookeem - nice picture. That just proves the point that #7 and #26 is a killer combo.

Is it a polish/glaze? I cant even remember. Looks fantastic though!

It's a glaze, but Megs also calls it a pure polish since it has no diminishing abrasives. Heh, I think #7 has probably caused more confusion among some people as to what it is.

Nice cars guys! I've been using RMG lately, but #7 is good too; as well as #26. Whenever I see nicely done black paint, I say my next car is going to be black.

But I know that'll probably drive me nuts. :wall
