Megs #21 performance

History : This is an 06 BMW SUV that belongs to a regular customer of mine. I taught him how to wash & dry the car properly. The car is night garaged but spends Mon/Fri out in the elements here in a smelter town so its a little harsh.

I don't have pix but the gloss isn't important its the longivity I'm expressing.

It was done 5 May 07 .. polished out with optimum products followed with PoliSeal to clean things up then a single layer of Meguiars #21 was applied.

The car was washed every weekend and today when we washed it it was starting to show degredation of the beading , but beading non the less, on the hood and roof but the sides were still beading as if it were just done. Thats 5 full months.

I checked again with the owner to see if any other products were used since I did it and he confirms nothing was used not even QD spray etc.

He also advised me the truck I did for him the next day also still beads water per the BMW.

We don't have a mild climate here ... we hit over 100F a few times this summer.

I'll get both these again in the spring and will try to remember to report again.

I have never had #21 last that long by itself, but I have had it last a long time (3-4 months) but I have also had it barely eek past 2 months by itself. Wierd huh?

I love the look of #21, personally, so I am glad you are getting such good durability out of it.

Maybe its to do with me using PoliSeal under it ... a couple of my other customers that arent so careful are still in the 4 month area.

This one was done 14 May 07 and redone last week and the sides were still beading .. the hood was trying to but not as good as the BMW .. mind you its not treated as well but lives in the same environment.
