Megs 16 still protecting after 15mo!

Boy I do to, I have to pretty much stay in my room working on friggin spanish until exams next week.

i can flick water onto paint that hasnt even been waxed and there still will be beads. Sorry 15 months, its gone.

While I agree that the wax is probably gone... there is a difference in the way the gas lid looks as opposed to the surrounding area.



Which leads me to believe that the Meguiars did in fact protect better than the Nu Finish... while the Meguiars probably isn't there anymore, it probably protected longer and thus left the paint in healthier condition.



Just my thinking though... congrats on winning the bet

There certainly appears to be a difference in the way the water reacts on the gas cover as opposed to the fender. It would seem logical that the difference is caused by the Megs since that's the only place it was used. There is certainly a difference irregardless of whether there is protection left or not. The nay sayers must be looking with their eyes closed.:nixweiss

I completely agree that while there may not be any protection still there, the paint may have been protected longer, thus the rest of the paint being under constant attack from contaminants while the gaslid didn't. So, when the #16 finally did wear off, you get different levels of contaminants on the car versus the gaslid.
