megs 105 in ca?

is there a vendor in ca that has megs 105 in ca that is online ..im in the fresno area ..i need it for a job on fri and autogeek would take a week to ship ..the 3 day was as much as the product so i cant do that ..sorry to waste your time dwayne ..im considering 3m also . a local bodyshop supply has the whole line up .. this is for color sanding and waterspot removal on a black ford f350 .. thanks in advance ...ive heard nothing but good on the 105 ..im not a megs fan but willing to try this product ..
 
BR why do you need the 105?

Sorry just read the reason, what polishes to you have on hand? PB 2.5 will do all that with no issue IMO
 
i sent him a pm this weekend .. havent heard back .its probably too late to insure it gets here without expensive shipping .. ill prob try some 3m ..its good stuff too .. i need to put together a good order and stock up on autogeek..gotta get the kids to bed ill check this in the morning ..i might find a megs dist in fresno too ..ill run up there if i can .. i really appreciate your offer pal .. ron

Are the water spots etched in or are they just mineral deposits? I recently did a black Ford truck with terrible mineral deposits and 105 did nothing for it. Poorboy's Pro polish removed them but took a decent amount of time. Have you thought about Ultimate compound? Meg's says it's a little less aggressive than 105 but otherwise the same SMAT compound. Just some thoughts to consider being UC can be purchased OTC. Good Luck
 
thanks for the offer everyone . i went local to make sure i had something to work with ..all i can say is fast shipping is more expensive than the product sometimes ..you guys are all back east and im in bfe so i have to order at least a week in advance ..i got the call on this truck sunday so i was short on time .doesnt help that i work in a prison and have no outside phone available and cell phones are a big no no so i couldnt call anything in ..thanks again
 
If you have a napa around you go there and pick up a bottle of 3M perfect-it 3000 Extra Cut Compound. Its some pretty good stuff that I used to use a lot of. It actually has more cut than M105 but doest finish as nice, but since your using a compound you'll need to follow it up anyways.

I know this is late, but why not just order direct from Megs? Do they ship from their warehouse or from California? I would expect them to have some product on hand even if their stuff is shipped from out East, so they might have been able to help you out there. Or at the very least, they would be able to point you to a local source.
 
i tried on the way to work and they ship out of ct..the 3m extra cut worked out great .. i had to go over it with some p&s ultracoat polish ..
 
Now that 3M owns Meguiars I would think that they would soon have something in their line of products that was the same as the Meg. 105

Since I only work on my own vehicles I have no need for anything like that even when I repainted and wet sand I don't use nearly as fast cutting.
Removing 1500 sanding is easy done with a rotary and much less aggressive polish.

Interesting - I worked in a large county jail and a state prison while I was in college. Are you at liberty to say where you're working? I gotta say bro, you got my sympathies. While I made some life-long friends working there, I have to say I went home depressed quite a bit from a lot of the things I had to see and hear. Not to mention the constant verbal and physical abuses of the job.

The P&S will work just fine Ron, I've used it plenty in the passed.

If you have any auto paint supply stores around you most carry 3M line. I have two that do here
