Hi

This is a special detail for me because, once i owned a similar car and spent many good moments driving it.

Let´s go for the facts , its a Renault Mégane Cabriolet 1.4 16V from 2000, all black, leather seats.

Swirls were allover the car, fenders and rear side was scratched , i find also many stains in the paint and some contamination.

The setup was :

- washed with sonax and clayed with #34

- wheels polished with 1z PP and sealed with PB Wheel Sealant.

- Menzerna PG x 5 ( hood and trunk, others areas 3 for 4 times ) yellow pad

- Menzerna IP x 1 green polishing pad

- Menzerna FF x 1 blue pad

- Grojet 2000 and topped with nattys x 2 ( 1 hour apart from each layer )

- Mothers plastic polish for the lights

Engine bay was degreased with 1z W99 , 1z Balsam for rubbers tubes and plastics.

- 1Z gummi for larger rubbers

Interior:

vacuum and all plastics with 1z Intensive plastic cleaner, and conditioned with 1z Tiefenfleger.

APC and 4 star leather conditioner on the leather, 2 coats,

its a car for riding in direct sunlight, the seats absorved it all.

The top

Washed with sonax, some hours later i used apc and finished with 1Z Cabrio protect.

The plastic window was polished with Mother plastic polished, great results.

All the rubber from the top and other rrubber sealers, took 1z gummifleger.

I think it looks pretty good in the shade, and I think the few sun- shots provided look good as well. More sun-shot would be great but, either way, I think the transformation was more than eye-pleasing.

Don't forget, if you plan on entering the monthly contest, plenty of suns shots as well as a pics of the products and supplies used is required in the new contest rules. If your not planning on entering the contest, then just ingnore me!

Great job BTW

I won the last May x-treme detail contest with the 911 Turbo, detail.

I can´t run again for about 6 months ;)

OH MY GOD! Did you polish with a PC or a Rotary? How much didyou charge for bringing it back to life...and how much time was that? That has to be AT LEAST 225 bucks.
