what are ur opinions of it?

effectiveness?

gonna give it a try on a 92 uncared civic for a friend.

paint is in terrible condition.

will post pics once i figure how and apply the back to black.

I'm assuming you are talking about the trim dressing 'back to black'? Doesn't Mothers make that?? I know I have a product from them with the same name. Never seen one from Meguiars. Anyhow, if we are speaking of the same thing, then I'll tell you that I'm not too fond of it. Tim dressings in general wear away after a few days. The b2b actually left a nasty residue on my trim after the sheen disappeared. I was none too pleased. Suffice to say I have not used it again.

Bill.

I have used Mothers Back to Black before. In my opinion, it is more than just a dressing. It seems to have strong cleaning properties to it inorder to remove wax and other stuff.

If we're talking about a plastic trim product, like Mother's Back to Black...I recently got a new one by Autotech call Trim Renew.

I never had much luck with the Mother's product, as it seemed to come off in the first rain.

I have only used trim renew once, but it seems to deep-clean (the rag gets filthy) and lasts longer.

I lent it to a friend tonight to try on his brother's Wrangler on the fender flares...looked pretty good on the places we tried it...before it got dark.

I've used Mother's B2B as well and wasn't all that impressed. By the looks and smell of the stuff I would say it has some type of solvent in it.

I'm still looking for a good trim product. I also tried Stoner's and while I like their glass cleaner, I'm not to fond of their trim cleaner either.

I'd suggest you check the Reviews forum -- which includes my review of Mothers B2B. As I said in that review, I found that the "secret to success" was doing a very good job of cleaning the rubber/vinyl trim before applying B2B.

Since doing that review, I've had a chance to use Mothers Preserve. I think it has much better durability. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be as widely available. :(
