After reading many good reviews on the Optimum Polish (OP), we couldn’t resist the temptation and in the end ordered a bottle to try it out. To give it a tough challenge, we choose a silver colour car to see how well it can bring out the shine. This time the car we are working on is a silver Mercedes C180 coupe.



The car is parked at industrial estate during office hour and no proper detailing was done for the past 1 year. The flat surfaces were pretty rough and claying was needed for all the flat panels. After washing and claying, we applied #84/cutting pad with a rotary to remove all the major defects (swirls and scratches), than followed by OP/polishing pad with a rotary to take out what was left behind by #84/cutting pad. To finish up the polishing process, we use OP/polishing pad with a DA machine for a final polish. The car was sealed with Meguiar’s #21.



Some observation on OP, this polish has an amazing long working period and it doesn’t seems to dry up when use with a DA machine. The main thing I like about this polish is, it does not dust like any other polish even if it is worked on hot surface or directly under the sun . What further impress me is the shine it gives on the car, even without any sealant or wax, the car already looked shiny and wet. I’ve got to say this is the easiest polish I have used and also one of the best shine I have achieved in all my detailing session.
