Me vs the dirty white ranger......

This truck was a buddy's that I told him I would detail for him before he gave it back to his sister. His car was in the shop for a while, so he was driving this.....

BEFORE........I didn't realize he didn't throw out the garbage....:wow:

AND AFTER..........

It took me 6 hours to finish this job. This was the dirtiest vehicle I have done to date.

EDIT.....I really need some advice on what to get for interior carpet cleaning. I was using spot remover and towels. Some of the stains would not come out.

He was fairly pleased with it though.

Looks really good! What did you use on the truck?

Washed with California Gold car wash

Clayed most of it.

I used an 10" orbital and Mothers products for buffing out of the paint. Cleaning/Carnuba wax.

Then went over it with Megs NXT.

I know....I'm such an rookie.....I need to get better products and a PC.....as well as a steam machine. I really like doing this stuff though. I've been doing it for so long, I thought I may try to make a few extra dollars part time.

I only charged the guy $40 bucks.......he is building me a new sub box and helping me do my attic.

Oh my Lord, what are the chances...I know exactly where those pics were taken and I live on Long Island.

You sure?? It's a brand new development.:D

Yeah, I know. Im still shocked. I even know the street name, thats how sure I am.

Who woulda thought. 1200 miles away I can guess that location from a few pics that barely expose the surroundings.

Nice work! All that trash is disgusting. I don't know how people can just throw food boxes around in the car :\

There's no way.....none of the surroundings give you any bearing unless you have stood in my driveway.....and my house was just finished building 2 months ago.

Just by the look of these two pictures he should have been ecstatic with the difference not "fairly" pleased

Nice job with the clean up!! :2thumbs:

I dont know, if you that the house the car is parked at was built only 2 months ago, I may be wrong.

EDIT: I noticed the pics were shot at diff locations? Im talking about the last 6 or so pics, where the sun is setting.

We need some shots of YOUR truck...SVT

I'll have some of them soon....new rims and tires and a PC job and then I'll post some up.

Excellent job! The interior looks a lot better and the paint has a really nice glow

Thanks ....it's tough to work on white to get it to shine, but I think it turned out good. It looks better than it did. :o)

For carpets, I know this sounds strange, but for nasty, red and colored stains, use throttle body cleaner, or brake cleaner. Make sure it is not pretroleum based though. For other bad stains, woolite/water, spot shot, and DP Carpet and Upholstry cleaner work great.

Is that a friggin' machete' in the cargo area on the 4th pic?

What's this guy do in his spare time?

I know what you mean about white. It can be tough initially , but it's easy to maintain.

Folex works great on most carpet stains.

Nice job , by the way......

lol....it does look like that huh??....but it's a pair of tongs for the grill.......not sure what those are doing in there either.

and thanks to all for the compliments and suggestions.
